i just hope the steelbook actually looks like on the picture.. especially the transition into black looks great.. my fear is that it actually turns out exactly like uk one just with t2 instead of terminator...

It's exactly the same SB. The only differences in KimchiDVD's release are a sticker on the front, and some art cards on the inside. Seeing as most of us don't even open these, the only thing setting this one apart from the other one is that sticker.

Pretty interesting but I think Kimichi version is better.

Some pictures for HatredHorror... (I took these yesterday, it's my own copy from KimchiDVD. Like i said, the YesAsia SB is exactly the same.)

So glad I got this bad boy the kimchi would have been preferable for the exclusive extras but tbh im opening this to watch when it does arrive one of my all time favourite films and gotta be the best steel imho so far this year a real stunner now if only they would re release a decent steelbook for t3.....

It's actually semi gloss. It works really well. The whole thing feels beefy, and high quality. As much as i tried to take a great picture, even these don't do it justice. However, this is about as close as it gets, in terms of what it actually looks like. Natural lighting, without any enhancements.

I don't like wannabe artsy-fartsy pictures when i'm trying to get an idea of what it really looks like, so i don't take mine that way, either.

You just contradicted yourself big time, and your statement doesn't make any logical sense, at all.The SBs and slips are identical - so there is no such thing as the one being better than the other. The only difference is a sticker, and some art cards. This is not like comparing the FS release of Django Unchained to Target's release, for they are actually different.

This version looks just like the kimchi edition which is far better than this one:scat: kimchi is king!!!

All i'm saying is that such statements could confuse potential buyers, or even steer people away from getting this, and missing out on a fantastic SB, thinking the KimchiDVD SB is different. This is wonderful opportunity for people who didn't get in on the other one, but still want the same SB. Especially considering a lot of collectors don't open these, so the art cards aren't all that important.

I am very confused to read something like that on HDN. I think every real collector should know that slips and stickers make a difference. Is it logical? Not really. But it is this reality we live in. It is a difference if you own a Terminator Steelbook from Germany or Korea and it is a difference if you own Captain America from the UK or Taiwan. Just have a look at eBay and what the people are willing to pay for them.

I don't want to say that the regular T2 Steelbook isn't great. It's still the awesome looking Steelbook and has a low print run too. But I think it won't have significance of the Kimchi release to a collector, even if it has just a sticker and artcards on top.
