So it seems that Nuclear Blast will be releasing the new live Testament album as a limited edition steelbook. I've heard it'll only be released in the UK and Europe, so no idea if/when it'll be released in the US. No idea on print run but I'd hazard a guess at 4k. Any Testament fans here? :scat:

Bit disappointed that it appears G1, but I don't as much with music releases as I've got quite a few blu-rays in digipacks that are G1 so it'll sit nicely with them.

The photos do not do this justice. Damn this thing is like bling! I'm not sure how it's done but the gold all over this really pops off the surface, it shines so brightly and has a metallic brushed effect. The spine is just WOW!!

I'm actually quite disappointed with this release. I expected the STeelBook to have been part of a much more fleshed out box set, similar to The Passion Of Joan Of Arc.

Can we even call it a UK release? The language on the J-card is English, but it's also emblazoned with USK logos (BBFC logos not required as music concerts are exempt from classification by the BBFC) - I was not expecting that! It appears that this may be a generic release for the whole of Europe, rather than specific to just one country like we are used to with SteelBook releases

I bought both the Dvd and Blu-Ray versions - Both are G1 size. Again, disappointed. I don't understand why they didn't just make it a 4 disc SteelBook, rather than two separate editions.

What also bothers me is how it wasn't listed on retailer websites as a SteelBook - A huge faux pas on their part, and makes me wonder how many other SteelBooks they incorrectly list?

Disagree completely. You can't compare music releases to film ones. There is just not a 'standard' practice with them, for what reason I don't know. This was released by Nuclear Blast, who are based in Europe (Germany I believe) and are Testament's record label. It's not a first, all their releases that contain video content have the ratings logos on.

Honestly, this is some of the best value for money I've gotten recently. 1BD and 2CD, full colour booklet and packed in a sturdy steelbook for £17,xx is a bargain. What more were you honestly expecting?

its not a uk steelbook, the dvd nor the bluray one - anyway you spin it.

the manowar dvd steelbook from years ago was an import sold on a few sites and i think the same here.

people have their own reasons for wanting this to be included, but its wrong. you may as well include every import that amazon sell on the uk site as a uk steelbook then.

iron maiden got a proper uk release, but this doesn't cut it for me.
