Although I would love to see the original released as a steelie. It is getting a 4K release this year so it wouldn't surprise me.

Pass

1974 Original - classic - great
2003 Version - I really enjoyed
2013 Version - never seen it, probably because I was told it's crap :p

Never seen or heard of it.. will have to check out the trailer but it's not getting the best reviews on here so far. I would have bought the original and/or the 2003 one though. Would be nice to see zavvi bring out some of the old classics in the future, especially if they're willing to share print runs with other countries to make sure they sell out and therefore continue to bring us what we really want without worrying they'll be stacked up in their wear house gathering dust.
I would like to see movies like misery, the dead zone, carrie etc get steelbooks too:D

I thought part 2 with Dennis Hopper was the sequel to the original? So this is a remake of a sequel?

its a sequel to the original, starts straight after the events of the 1974 film and the aftermath. you just have to pretend that the sequel with dennis hopper didnt happen.
on a side note, the guy who played chop top in the hopper film, plays the role of drayton/the cook in this. gunner hanson plays a smll role at the start, the same actor from the original plays grampa and marilyn burns plays a older memeber of the sawyer clan (dont want to give to much away).
i just wish the start had had been longer, 1974 has been retconned to the late 80s/ early 90s, then it jumps to present day.
also in the deleted scenes you find out what happened to the trucker from the original.

i bought the amaray not that long ago, think my lass will kick my ass when i get this.

Crap! i miss read the title i thought this was the 2003 version

Same here but thought it was the original film. Texas Chainsaw was a decent addition as a sequel to the original 70s film but to me it's not good enough to buy, especially just for a steelbook edition. I actually prefer the lenticular slipcover America got.

The info here is still wrong... according to wiki the correct title is Texas Chainsaw 3D

There was 2 Separate Blu-ray releases
Texas Chainsaw 2013

3D/2D release
2D release only

So until we know which version were getting we cant have the Title
Texas Chainsaw 3D
