Any disc in there would be better than this movie. A DVD disc of the one with matthew mcconaughey and renee zellweger would be better. If you bought this a Chainsaw Massacre Fan in general, then you really bought it for the case only. Might as well get some use out of it.

Return of The Texas Chain pass Massacre (or Texas Chainsaw Massacre : The Next Generation as it's know elsewhere) was just abysmal

I dunno, I didn't buy it because it was limited. I don't buy anything based on how limited it is, just whether or not I want it. I would have still ordered one if it was a run of 4000 or whatever.

I haven't seen the movie (although I understand it's bad), and I'm not bothered about the lack of a 3D disc as I never watch the 3D version of anything. But I do like the artwork so I figured, what the hell.

The only reason this film exists is 3D. It was made with the sole purpose of that. Without it it's not a bad film, it's one of the worst ever made.

I've pre ordered this too, not because of the limited print but cos I enjoyed the film and i really like the artwork. I watched this film a couple of days ago to see if i wanted to pre order, i had extremely low expectations after reading this thread so i got to watch it thinking it would be an unwatchable film that i would switch off within minutes of starting it, i think that helped me see the film from a more pleasently surprised perspective.
A lot of people have said that the movie is $#=* ,i wouldn't agree with that, Its no work of art, the story line was predictable but enjoyable, the acting was good, not Oscar winning but not uncomfortably bad either, it was funny in places, i just found it easy viewing and sometimes that's just what I need so for me the film fits. I think if the SB is matte, it would look great with spot gloss on leather face and the blood/title

I welcome any/all shots taken at me for liking the film its cool, go for it guys

there will always be films that some people like and some don't, you don't like this movie and do not wish to buy it as a Steelbook or any other form and that's fine, this selling out says nothing negative about steelbook collectors tastes in films, i love a lot of amazing films and have spent lots of money on them in my life time, i don't always want to watch the greatest films ever made, sometimes I like cheesy movies or stupid movies or whatever I'm in the mood for, it really doesn't matter.. If I enjoy a movie for whatever reason then it's good enough for me to buy, and the steelbook looks great for this, we don't have to buy every steelbook that is released so why are you so upset by this one, just skip it and move on to one you do like. They are probably making this film a steelbook release to make some money back after it didn't do so well but 20% of people on that tomatoes site liked this movie, so there is a market for it, so why not us? There are so many steelbooks released that i have no interest in but that's ok cos it makes the ones I am interested in much more special to me

it is surprising that they are releasing this one before the original and the remake (that people clearly love) hopefully they'll get the SB treatment too soon, i think this release it partly getting a bashing due to the fact we all hoped this announcement was for the original then we were disappointed and also like, why is this being released and the awesome original is overlooked? ? And it's true, why? but it's here now so those that like it should buy it and enjoy it

It wasn't the best movie but I still can say that I would want it in my collection. It had some good killing scenes and the lead actress is hot. So I will be happy when it comes out.

I haven't seen it, but I did pre order. One of the main reasons is because of that picture someone posted of that chick, on the first page Wow! Ten Hut!

Anyway, I got the Ninja Email letting know this was live. My Ninja training automatically kicked it and I followed Maxi's 'Word to the wise'. If you ur on the wire and/Or its a limited run, just pre order it anyway. They don't charge you until they despatch it. You can do the Old "Blind Buy", research it later, or rent a redbox to check it out. Then cancel it later if you want. I just wanna see that chick in the picture
