This seems a bit pointless as there seems to be no plans for sequels so the story will never be complete. A second steelbook for a film that is in limbo, plus the film was nothing special? Really zavvi???

Previous HMV exclusive getting a re-release in Europe
The previous release was a tradewide release, thread here.

Odd seeing Zavvi advertise this as an exclusive while the steelbook is currently available, e.g., from Amazon UK. I guess the distributor doesn't have this in stock anymore.

It's a re-release in Europe as are the other re-releases Zavvi have UK exclusive while other retailers are selling the re-releases in Europe on Amazon Italy Amazon Germany and some of them with Film Arena as well as other retailers across Europe

Film Studios do re-releases all the time with steelbook lot more popular than 3-4 years ago you will see lot more re-releases of previously released steelbooks some will be exact same and some new artwork

@paulboland Paul, I get all that ;)

I just find it funny that Zavvi will be selling a product as a new "exclusive" while another retailer is selling exactly the same product - no doubt it'll have the same J-card, same EAN, etc.

It's just a release part of a number of re-releases announced by the film studios recently with more titles to be announced

These re-releases are a shared print run in Europe

Yes will be the same steelbook as before with new printed Jcard done

I find it utterly disgraceful that we have been duped into believing that a particular release is LIMITED in number, only for whoever decided to release these (be it the studio producing more, or Zavvi stockpiling them for a later date) to go and announce more several years later - with the EXACT SAME ARTWORK no less! So regardless of whether this is a new print run or just new old stock that has been hoarded for the last three years in a warehouse somewhere, it is deceiving to lead consumers into believing that a product is limited in number when in actual fact what they really mean is that it's limited for a specific time only!

There really needs to be more transparency here. Some collectors may argue, "but we missed out the first time around" or "we are too tight to pay eBay prices", and those newbies are lapping it up because they don't see the bigger picture here. It's not about resale values or collectability anymore - it's about being deceived by retailers like Zavvi, and the shenanigans they continuously pull on their customers! It's stunts like this that lost them their loyal consumer base in the first place, as more and more veteran SteelBook collectors get fed-up of these tricks.

Consumer watchdogs should be brought in to investigate whether unlawful business trading practices have been breached, because to me they have. Advertising a product as "LIMITED TO 1,000" should mean that there are only 1,000 of that product. Not "Limited to 1,000 now, but we'll release another few thousand a few years down the line for those who missed out on these"! This is essentially the same as a country printing new currency to try to escape a depression

I don't understand zavvi's logic in asking for more to be made when the first print run didn't even sell out.

Wait, I get it. By ordering a load of reprints they avoid having to get off their fat arse and negotiate some NEW steelbooks for much better films that don't even have a single release yet.

£19.99 is the recommended retail price (RRP) it will be more likely £15.99 or less when it goes live
It's not listed officially yet on Zavvi website and price does not have the save £ amount yet

Actual price will when it goes live to order

This steelbook is part of a number of titles getting a re-release in Europe with various retailers
Zavvi in the UK and other retailers in other countries
