One of my all time favorite films is finally on bluray. I ordered this through Amazon's UK site, since for whatever reason it was not given a US release. Oddly enough it only came out in the US on DVD a few years back despite being released in 1985 and being the very first full length claymation film.
I know there's some 80's Babies in here who remember this classic.
Also there is conflicting info out there, but this DOES play on my Region 1 Playstation 3, so it is Region Free.

Remember when television shows and films designed for kids weren't patronising and didn't treat them like they were half their age? Allow me to introduce you to, if you haven't been already, THE ADVENTURES OF MARK TWAIN from 1986, perhaps the last example of a feature film that can, to this day, educate young audiences at the same time as entertaining them and treating them with respect.
Smart, colourful and imaginative, this creative claymation fantasy draws from a number of Mark Twain's stories as he sets off on a voyage into space to meet his end by crashing into Halley's Comet. Accompanied by three children not destined to share his fate, Twain tells his weird, wonderful and sometimes scary tales as they journey to the stars.
This is a stunning achievement in film-making and an equally as impressive remaster on Blu-ray, bringing the quirk of claymation – a style that perfectly suits the sheer otherworldly nature of the film – to a strange kind of life.
Extras: An audio commentary with producer/director Will Vinton; The Story of Claymation documentary; a behind the scenes featurette; The Music of Mark Twain; stills gallery; trailer; and interviews with character designer/lead animator Barry Bruce, music and sound man Bill Scream, Huck Finn animator Mark Gustafson, writer Susan Shadburne, and Vinton.
