No, it's edited, not cut...the picture is zoomed in in one scene as far as I remember several discussions in the net.

I think it's just a case of Amazon / Disney panicking & trying to stem the tide of people cancelling their pre ordrers.

Edited / cut ?? ... how ever people want to word it, the film has been altered which is not acceptable in my opinion no matter how minor it may be.

As it is the SAME version that was in the german movie theaters, the film is uncut...

I wouldn't mind the bonus disc you get with the german release and uk sainsburys release for the 90 min documentary but i've got the uk steelbook on order for £12.80 and seeing i dont have a 3D tv i can't justify an extra £13

Isn't the German bonus disk the same documentary as the Sainsburys exclusive?

I'm sure I read that it's covered by the amazon pre order promise, so we should only get charged the €24.99. This is my first per order with amazon.de, once shipped how long on average to they take to be delivered?

Important Note: The DVD and Blu-ray of The Avengers, which is in Germany, Austria and Switzerland on the market, the same version of the film is seen, which was in the theaters. On completion of the film of the original two versions were prepared, which differ by a single image sequence. This is the scene in which a person is stabbed. In a version is to be seen, such as the lance body completely penetrates in the other version was omitted this detail. This has no effect on the length of the film. In many countries worldwide, including Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the film was not this close to the theaters. Otherwise, both versions of the film are absolutely identical. The DVD and Blu-ray movie release no changes were made.

Yeah I just noticed it as well and received an email that the SB has shipped. Regarding the reduced price mine hasn't changed either so i'm not sure will get the discount since now there's no price listed.

I just sent them an e-mail about the same thing and they said that the price will be adjusted automatically but it could take a few days.

I wouldn't be surprised to see all versions of this film sell out. It's such as hugely popular film that even if they have made tens of thousands of copies, the demand may still be there.
