Spanish Disney confirmed yesterday that, besides the standard Bluray and Bluray 3D, they will be releasing "The Avengers" with Steelbook treatment. The Steelbook is released 29th of August and the Bluray and DVD will be included.

I'm assuming the A on this is going to be embossed just like the Australian steel?

chantm, underneath the slipcovers, they are all the same steelbook so yes the A will be embossed like the Aussie, German, UK, Taiwanese, and French editions. I am sure I missed one or two editions.

i just ordered my copy because the German one is so high in price and i have no need for the 3D and if this has the documentary its the best out know , the only problem with this is tha tit will ship in around 2 to 3 weeks as listed on amazon and it says that the movie s 142 min but the usa version says 143 why i am really not sure if i really want this lets hope the German release gets a lower price because its not out yet

I got mine today. They shipped them 2 day UPS.

I had it with on an order with the Jurassic Park, 8 Mile, Casino, etc. Universal wave for the new shipping flat rate of 8 EUR.

Now, I notice all of that wave says:

Does anyone know what happened to this Universal wave in Spain?

Anyways, not complaining about the super fast shipping but what a waste for them. I finally have my first Avengers steelbook along with the empty viva box!

I think the 1 disc UK steelbook is going to be pretty common, but the 2 and 3 disc European versions of the steelbook look like they're going to be quite a bit rarer.
