This Tuesday, Marc Aspinall takes on the First (Dark) Knight and Surya Mahdiana takes us beyond the Shire!
Marc has been on a tear with comic covers this year, and we’re excited to release his stunning cover for Dan Jurgens’ and Mike Perkins’ The Bat-Man: First Knight as a print. First Knight takes us back to 1939 for Bat-Man’s first real case after donning the cape and cowl, and Marc’s art perfectly emulates pulpy books from that era. Marc’s art is striking and a perfect match for a sublimely striking Batman story.
For our first print with Indonesian artist Surya Mahdiana, we’re bringing Surya’s painstakingly detailed linework to Middle Earth with an alternative movie poster for The Fellowship of the Ring! Surya’s print offers a unique spin on a classic scene, with exquisite details bringing the infamous Balrog battle to life.
