Pretty average, uneven movie, with Butler and Tom Hardy being the highlights - I think their acting is impeccable. But otherwise it's a basic story, that is sometimes interesting, and other times drags. Worth a watch, but don't think I'll be coming back to it.

Spoiler: Irritation about a major scene

What pissed me off is how no one in the 'bike club' did anything to that prick that shot their friend and leader - they're all in their cars, run him over and f him up, whatta hell?! A bunch of poser wussies.

Bikeriders is perhaps the dullest film I've watched this year (and I like slow talking movies)
So little happens in the story, it's a wonder this ever got greenlit to begin with.

Having discovered the film was based off a photo journalists non fiction book, that was essentially a series of photographs covering a decade and half, with a couple of interviews. It now makes sense.
Perhaps a documentary would have been more fitting.

I get that Nichols wanted to stay true to the source, but come on, at least inject some kind of energy to it if you don't want to take any artistic licence.
I wouldn't even call it slow. It's just really dull. A waste of great actors and a great director if you ask me.
