Yes Aviator came and went. This is a few extra copies that studios sometimes produce for promos, etc. If there are payment issues, we may see a few more back up, but as far as we're told right now, this will be it.

We are Zavvi, let's post a sold out ultra print run title in a cardboard envelope and our 7.99 12 monkeys in a cardboard box.

Looks ok, but not opened yet.

Let's hope there not all sent like this!

Edit: anyone digging the footprint on my envelope!

Had exactly the same thing this morning mate, 2 copies arrived in the cardboard sleeves, not impressed at all EEK!

One copy looks to be slightly warped if you look down the spine. I really don't know what zavvi are playing at lately, tis a total lottery what they choose to ship items out in, and like you say, for a limited release it's not good enough really is it.

They seem to be going backwards for me, just when I thought they were turning a corner :(

It looks like it has been sent from one of their UK warehouses, rather than from Guernsey. Only their Guernsey warehouse has the boxes to ship steels in.

Yeah I could see this was shipped in the UK - mine also arrived in just a cardboard sleeve but thankfully can't see any damage.

Actually really impressed with the finish on this. Never seen the film, but considering the nature of the movie, the steel is gorgeous.

To be fair, it's a really nice steelbook, much better in hand.

After Zavvi cancelling my TWBB order, then this turning up in an envelope!

My 12 Monkeys sent in a Zavvi box was damaged, so that's going back for a full refund. Coincidently, this was the order that I made and cancelled after 2 minutes, for Zavvi to email me, saying they could not cancel, as it was in the dispatching stage.

I had to smile. Karma!

That's just perfect. In the one week I order the most titles from Zavvi, the envelopes make a comeback. I guess I play the waiting games and see if they turn up unscathed.

Received my copy today (not from Zavvi but picked it up from eBay @ £17) Loved the film, but love the artwork on the steel more! The back cover and the finish on both the front and back are just spectacular

Ouch. The latest sealed copies on eBay went for £13 and £12.50 DELIVERED (auction)

That's a massive loss minus eBay fees and postage.

Scalpers getting scalped! :hilarious:
