Really liked this one (especially after dismal and irritating The Guilty remake), it's kind of a slow-burner, almost meditative in some scenes with greatly matched songs by Robert Levon Been. It allows its characters to breathe, takes a more realistic approach, and takes you in with great acting, atmosphere, and story. Unlike majority of today's engineered sketch-shows, where actors jump from scene to scene as jesters.
It is not a gangster/criminal film, nor is it like Rounders or 21, so mind your expectations accordingly.
