The Complete Bourne Collection (SteelBook) [Taiwan]

No complaint from me either way as I'm happy to stick with my Kr copy. In light of the dull treatment for The Bourne Legacy my expectations for this one aren't high.
But in case I'm wrong I know it'll be easy enough to grab one later on. Seeing as the days of Taiwan releases being rare and hard to find seem long gone?
That is my complaint abt Bourne Legacy n Bourne Collection. The steels n the slips are dull. The best of the lot is Bourne Legacy FNAC. I hope Bourne Collection TW will have a bold slip. Maybe something reddish...
I know what U mean but what is really rare these days, almost everything can be found easily on & off eBay and online sites if U really dig deep & look in the right places, I really don't buy this rare hype anymore & simply buy what in my eyes look the coolest & best (quantity aside), just because this one has not properly sold out yet does not make it undesirable or least favourite (not the I care to be honest hehe), for all U know this will have a nice looking slip that beat every other release out there & could simply go OOS in the next couple of hours and then pictures gets revealed & everyone will be like wow man I wish I did this & that, then they go to YA/eBay etc, just buy what makes you happy, Korea is released what 1000 of these (through K2DVD/KimchiDVD & possibly YA), well this is mainly sold at JSDVD and YA so quantity-wise could well be 1000 or less just like Korea... at the end of the day we are all different in taste, just bcs I like Taiwan steelbooks it does not mean I will buy every single copy of them (Bourne Collection) of course not however others will to make a profit & to hype things up in advance, long story short buy whatever makes U happy & satisfy YOUR needs not everyone's else (or those trying to hype things up to make a profit in sales afterwards etc), just my 2 cents & I really do not mean to offend anyone here just thought I'd share my bit, back to topic
Yeah I agree the Fnac one is the best BL. It really needs that splash of colour. There's just not that much that can be done to enliven the dull design of these Bourne steels unfortunately. The Japanese one has a 'glow' effect to the text, but there's not much that can be done to make these particular steels very attractive. IMHO.
Quite agree, and when they get it right, Taiwanese releases are some of the best out there (Spidey, Total Recall, Res Evil Retribution, Skyfall, Prometheus etc). But they've also had some clunkers recently (Ted, Bourne Legacy, TDKR) which makes it hard to predict what to expect. And based on The Bourne Legacy slip (and for other reasons above) I suspect this release might not be one of their better ones, but we'll see. It's always a risk pre-ordering these expensive titles at the best of times, so hopefully this one will deliver to your satisfaction

Just like my man FM said above the overall design is kinda bland and quite hard to create a decent slip for these steels & I hope Taiwan do something special to make them stand out, U right about Ted & Bourne Legacy (I cancelled my preorders for refund but I still think TDKR is alright especially that it's the only one with a slip, an ok one too
) the only reason I am buying this over the other is simply bcs I'm a sucker for Taiwan slips & want them all (the cool ones that is) in my collection otherwise will not even bother hehe, couple of days from now & will see the outcome

To get a steel that might become rare one day, I look for Worldwide Exclusive Artwork (WEA) and a good slip or sticker. A good example is Expendables 2 FNAC - WEA, nice banner, booklet, strong movie franchise ie branding. Another is Resident Evil Trilogy Korea. It is tough to replicate or reprint or re release such steels.

It's the 11th and still no sign of this, hope they start shipping them out tomorrow, come on JSDVD, oh by the way it looks like it's sold out at JSDVD 'well again
I bet they had to print more to supply Japan and TW and Japan got them first.
I've only just noticed that the slip seems to be across one side, rather than the bottom! Covers the spine and the 'B' in Bourne - interesting....
FYI, I asked JSDVD if they could share a picture and helpfully they did! That does mean that they have at least one copy in hand so these should be shipping soon....
I like the slip down the side, shame it isn't across the bottom too but a nice change! Still get the Chinese characters on the spine this way.
