Hi all, we added this thread, so you can showcase any customs you have made with lenticulars or other art cards. Please post them here, so our regular Steelbook threads stay focused on the title as released. No trading. Thanks!

LOL, come one man! We all want to see the steaming turds that were produced as well!

OK so here goes ;) First off the sequences to explain how they were made download this file it will explain better than I can :)
They came out 'OK' but not as expected, I expected one character when you look from the left, one straight one, one from the right what I got was them seeming to randomly appear after the 3 planned :wtf:

OK so I need someone to reply before I can post the other 3 vids!

Now here is where the confusion starts with the 3D PSD's, Oblivion being the most simple should have looked really good but its the worst of the lot :(

These 2, IM3 and Inception, are pretty cool and show good depth as long as you look at them slightly off straight. if you look at them dead on the front image blurs but these have at least 5 layers each :wtf:

Wow, Neil. I would say you hold yourself to entirely too high a standard. While the 1st three don't have just the three images as you move it across your field of vision, I don't think anyone but you would be unhappy to have them on their steelbook! ;)

As for Oblivion, maybe it just doesn't show up as well on video, but I don't see much wrong with it other than (when compared to the others posted) having little to no 3D effect. Additionally, Iron Man and Inception both look great to me!

I suppose I am easier to please as I feel most lenticulars are quite blurry, so I don't worry about it anymore. I think you did a fantastic job on those! If they are the crap ones, I can't imagine how good to successes look!

No its not that lol the sequence's were a theory and they just didn't come out as we thought/wished they would. Whilst they aren't terrible and do work in a fashion I wont be trying anymore of them ;) I don't know what I did them for to be honest its not like I'm going to cover my whites anyway :hilarious:

Trust me Oblivion is FLAT and definitely the worst of the lot I need to deconstruct that to work out what happened :wtf:

I'm pretty happy with how IM3 and Inception came out they do what they are supposed to so will be doing more of the same I guess the only question is more to Daryl's previous post as to whether we keep everything behind the zero plane so the foreground doesn't blur/blend :D

Sweet lord!!! You've made LENTICULAR????

WHAT????
DAMN!!! The master did it again!!! Those Batman are WOW!!!! Congrats Neil!!!

Part 2 - The not so good ones:

The Dark Knight (not much depth)

Captain America - The Winter Soldier (not too good because title and character are not on 'zero plane')

Iron Man 3 (not too good because title and characters are not on 'zero plane')

Now the sequence ones. These did not turn out the way I expected:

Tron Legacy (this has too many images in the sequence, and it's just a blur)

The Dark Knight Rises (Batman shows up alright, but Catwoman and Bane got merged together :wtf:)

More lenti's arrived today:

The Amazing Spider-Man 2
This is my favourite one. I wasn't too happy with the artwork they used for the steelbook, so I made this, and it turned out very good I think. I really like how the lightning in the foreground moves and has the 3D effect

Iron Man 3 (I accidentally ordered it with rounded corners, d'oh )
I re-did this one, and placed the title and characters on the zero plane. The result is a clear title and foreground characters

Captain America 2 - The Winter Soldier
I re-did this one, and placed the title and character on the zero plane, but because the background is solid shapes/colours, it doesn't 'pop' out so much

World War Z
I re-did this one, and placed the title and character on the zero plane, and it turned out much better

47 Ronin
I re-did this one. The original one I made was a flip, but there was lots of bleed from both images, so I tried again using the sequence option, and I think it worked much better.

These are some of the ones I've done a couple of months ago (part 1):

The Hunger Games (this was my first attempt at 3D effect, the Mocking Jay):

Thor: The Dark World (3D effect on some of the lightning):

Drive (3D effect on the scorpion):

V for Vendetta (Flip Effect - 2 Images):

Inception (Flip Effect - 2 Images):

Part 2:

300 (Flip Effect - 2 Images):

Sucker Punch (Flip Effect - 2 Images):

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (Flip Effect - 2 Images):

Troy (3D effect on Achilles):

Pacific Rim (3D effect on the title and the helicopters):

Shout out to @mlmaier84 for helping with certain aspects of these after they were printed :D
