Debating on whether to get the zeta version out to compare the lentis with some photos but I don’t know if I can be f**ked.

I spoke to someone who had both in hand yesterday. He said the front of HDZs was noticeably better. Sharper, better depth effect, and it's less cropped.

Very similar to HDZ, apparently.

No surprise. HDZ was always a master in lenticulars and especially compared to Manta. Some missed ones of course, but it´s normal for every retailer.

It’s not bad. The embossed eyes on the OC box are really bugging me though. Such a stupid idea.

Also the back of DL-B, basically the street lights that’s behind the jokers hair is all merged as one and moves together as one like the street lamp is in his hair and it’s really f**king annoying. Apart from that the lentis aren’t bad. DL-A is nothing on zetas though and it’s times like this when you compare two different companies work for the same film with the exact same art that you realise the other company need to improve/ find a better manufacturer or simply slow down the number of releases and spend more time making the best product of each film that they can. Not a new pre order every 3 weeks but the release dates are 3 months away

Just opened up my OC. I wish they hadn't embossed the eyes, but it's not a dealbreaker. I probably wouldn't have fixated on them so much if it wasn't already mentioned though lol

FS looks great. That was my first choice. Not a fan of the DLs.

DLA is inferior to HDZ. 100%. The front lacks the clarity, and it's too cropped for me. The rear, it's darker than HDZ, and not as detailed, however, as there's less 3D depth effect going on the transition is smoother and makes it look better at first glance.

DLB, it's just kinda meh. Nothing exciting about the front, and the rear is very dark, and the lights blending and moving with his hair thing that @Flloydo mentioned doesn't look great.

This has turned out really nice and if I was going for only 1 edition I’d be happy with this or the FS but having the zeta I don’t like the way the front is cropped here but for me the back is pretty much the same as zetas. Manta actually did a decent job with this one

Zeta Vs. Manta

So for me easily the front of zeta and either of the backs do me. Tbh maybe Mantas because the transition moves a bit sharper. This was really hard to get photos of 2 lentis together making the same transition!

Judging from your pics, Mantas def better even when I prefer the not zoomed in HDZeta front. No surprise here tho, HDZetas is blurry af in hand

Tough one but yeah I slightly prefer zetas front. But the more I look at both backs I think Manta win by a tad

To be fair, I'd like to see the same pics from the same camera angle, but both editions switched, so that the HDZeta Edition is on the right side and the Manta Lab Edition on the left side. That way I definitely could judge with more certainty, lol.
