Of the 3 films its my favourite, of the 2 white artwork steels (which have always been far away from my price range) its by far my favourite. so as much as I dont wanna start double dipping...actually on this film its a triple dip (4 if I count the dvd copy) but its a great film and if I dont preorder it and it sells out I'll regret it so sod it...preordered

LOL. Thanks Warner.

This will be my first order from Zavvi and I have to say, the International Shipping rates are amazing! But as another member mentioned, this 'could' be the artwork the States will get on their Warner Wave of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight which would make more sense than re-releasing the Best Buy ones we already have. I hope so, then I will have to cancel my pre-order with Zavvi. You can cancel pre-orders with Zavvi right? :ohno:

Yes, you can certainly cancel. Remember they tend to sometimes ship early, so you'll want to make up your mind ahead of time.

Anything is possible with Warner, so you could see them in the USA. Only time will tell.

pre ordered although I might cancel as there is so many steels coming out over next few months, as was already mentioned this prob won't be the quality of the jp version so I'm sure that one will still be the one to get but I'm happy with these uk editions anyway.

I just ordered this one and the other white steel ... I hope we get to see how its really gonna look like before the release date, so that i can cancel, if its not like the japanese steels ....

Easy pass, but nice to see them come out in the UK

Sucks if you paid OTT prices for the Japanese versions though IMO

Sums up pretty much how I feel about this.

These Warner releases are becoming an absolutely joke. No imagination whatseover. Same titles released with same artwork, then re-released in another country. Seriously is this the best you can do???

I knew this would eventually happen when the Warner whites were released in the UK (old and new titles).

However being an owner of both Japanese and Korean versions, I'm actually not bothered about this. What impact it will have on their respective values is another matter. My guess is that it will, as there will be another version of the same steelbook. Again, only new hardcore collectors will seek the Asian versions.

In terms of the Japanese version, it's the ultimate Rolls Royce steelbook. No embossing/debossing, but absolute supreme quality. If this is anything like the other UK Warners, the quality is going to be ****. It's Korean counterpart has the slip factor, but the blemish of the finish (wurple), unless you're lucky enough to own the first print.

As others have mentioned, what is the point of acquiring high value steels any more? First Star Trek and now this. Another sad day for hardcore collectors I'm afraid to say.

Looking forward to seeing the final art for this (front / back / inside). I've already got too many different batman steels, but these will be the first UK release.

For the people that are "disgusted" or feel any other dramatic emotion relating to this release, I think you need to gain some perspective. Its a sub £20 bluray, if this is impacting on your emotional well being, you need a new hobby. Re-releases, reprints, country exclusives etc are part and parcel with steelbook now.

This whole obsession with after market value is unhealthy IMO. Buy the movies you want to watch, if you want to invest money or gamble, why not take a more direct route, like investments or gambling?

Well bloody said Malky  I couldn't agree more! It's great that buyers have been given more options or have the opportunity if they've missed out initially. I think paying 100+ for a steel tin with one movie in it is absurd. I pray for a reprint of Play.com Iron Man for 2 reasons and 2 reasons alone 1. so I can get me a cheap copy and 2. To see the various scalpers on here and Ebay go insane. I never ever understood buying a movie to keep it sealed on a shelf.

I'm also really looking forward to these. Seems this will probably p.. Off the Hardcore colectors on here. But there you have it still pretty new to the game and only interested in the UK ones so this is a bonus for me.

reading both white re prints of these artwork by zavvi gives me an idea to order 2000 copies of each of the two....since there is no point of collecting then it might be better to own the market...
