No new transfer = No sale.

I'm not buying another set of Nolan Batman steels until the first 2 films are new transfers. Just got to wait it out. There will be an 'Ultimate Edition' out later in the year and I bet that is what we'll get. Steels will surely follow that at some point too.

I havn't played mine in ages, are the transfers really that bad?
From memory i thought that TDK was top, top quality and was used as a benchmark for blu ray picture quality...?
I might be wrong tho ;)

They are terrible. Batman Begins looks 'ok' but is quite soft and has an extremely low bitrate which doesn't help it (it's from 2005 so uses an old scan - It really needs to be rescanned at 4k). TDK looks good in places (IMAX is incredible) but most of the 35mm stuff has been sharpened to death.

Ordered this.

I've been meaning to get the JP/KOR releases for some time but these at about 75% cheaper is the way for me to go.

I'm just happy to have a version of of the two first Nolan Batmans.. They aren't the definitive versions but they will do for now :)

One quite major criticism tho.. Another June 3rd release? Surely they could stagger them a bit??

Not sure they want to stagger them. They really want to just hit us where it hurts as quickly and as often as they can. I can see a lot more of this in the future. Its all about the money. At the same time the quality is slipping. Basic rule of retail screw as much out of us as fast and as quickly as they can. Why would steelbooks be any different now so many people are collecting them. Its obvious to me that there will be huge waves of steelbooks being released in the UK so much so it will ruin it for the hardcore collectors and the newbies like myself and all because the ££££ signs are lighting up in there eyes big time. As long as we keep buying them they'll keep pushing them out faster and faster until steelbooks are so popular theyll all be worth sweet FA. This is unlucky for those that collected and kept everything sealed for a profit later on.EEK!

Unlucky for those people who bought up steelbooks in bulk and pushed them OOP so people who actually wanted them for themselves?

Do you feel sorry for ticket touts if they sell tickets for below face value?

Did I say I felt sorry for anybody ?

Read the post mate

I said it was unlucky.

Comments like these are not really helpful as the items have yet to be released. I wonder how one comes to judge an item they do not have in hand???

Past experience and trend but agree that it is too early to predict how these will look.

I will buy if the release is better or got a different artwork with proper finishing or wait for Comic Reel Heroes release of the Batman series next year.;)
