Granted I used a coupon and got it on order before it went up a couple euros, I'm happy with the price. With shipping it's costing me 22.36 euros, more or less, $29.

What is the Amazon Adventskalender ?

From 1 December to 24 December each year, Amazon is providing us with different deals where you can also find some blu rays. It's always a surprise for the customer what comes next day. The prices are often the half of the original price. Many new releases are among those deals. That's what I can say.

They saw a heavy # of orders recently so they their system automatically trigger an increase in price. If you hold off on your orders, then we should see the price lower. 29 EUR for no 3D disc, only 2 discs... Hmmm...Avengers had 3 discs with 3D for 25 EUR

Wait until more stores list their pre-order, we should see a huge cancellation from amazon.de...and then they'll lower the price

My opinion is that this is one of a vast majority of steels we will see for this film, aprt from this it looks pretty awesome. Let´s sit and wait what other webs offer us.

Knowing Warner Bros the way I do, this is gonna be the same art everywhere, so I'll wait on ordering until I can get a copy that I can inspect in person.

I much prefer this one over the HMV steel but the price is way too high, will wait and see if it drops and then order. The artwork is awesome!

If you order from amazon.de is the main menu likely to be in German then you select English audio for the film or do they tend to have the language option before the main menu?

That depends on a number of things
1.Which language is your player set to ... most german blu rays will pick that
up and display the menu in the language of the player
2.Some manufacturers , Universum , Concorde , Ems , Tobis , dont do this and everything is in german including the writing of the special features ...these movies also automatically default to the german soundtrack and you have select the english language track.
3.Certain studios Universal , Paramount ect.. give you a language selection upon insertion of the disc ...
4.if the disc is FSK 18 there wont be an English language menu .. but still and english language track...

This information is from my own personal experience .. so maybe there is more to it out there .

It would be played on my ps3 which is set to english so that should be ok. It says FSK: Freigegeben ab 16 Jahren which I have no idea what that means. I'm after the batman trilogy steelbook, already have the first 2 films in a joint steelbook but think having the third film by itself will just look wrong.

Well as long as your ps3 is region b .. you should have no problem.
Freigegeben ab 16 jahren .. basically means for sale to those 16 yrs and older .
They are strict over here .. will card you for proof of age .

Amazon are the only retailer in Germany with this steelbook.

The exact same steel could be released (and probably will) in other countries.
