Have amazon.de raised the price of shipping, nearly €5 to ship to Ireland. Normally it would have been about €3.50?

Not sure why shipping from Amazon.de to Ireland is €5 but they charged my order €3 for shipping to the US

Can anyone help me out here. Postage seems to be very high the summary states its €3 but they tack on a huge amount of vat which increased the total to a huge €6 can anyone here explain this? I hope I can fix this. Postage has never been this high.
