never had a steel with this art, so i can't say for them
maybe we haven't the same "definition" of glossy ..
some examples of what is definitely glossy for me
tron legacy DE,start trek DE/zavvi (black one) pinocchio,end of watch DE,memoirs of a geisha(it) those are what i call glossy steels

picked this up at my local dutch mediamarkt so it's not the UK version but i assume this will be the same ... it has a glossy finish by the way and it's a 3-disc edition (blu-ray, blu-ray special features and dvd)
for those still on the fence pick this up because it's a real beauty

Does anyone know if amazon.co.uk packaging has gotten any better? It's been a while since I've ordered from them.

Were Amazon using their 'certified frustration free' packaging when you last ordered? They're still using it:
As to Zavvi's packaging, it depends who you ask. Some have voiced a few complaints with it, though personally I've not yet had a damaged steel from them since the packaging change.
That looks fantastic. This artwork destroys the broken cowl mask version in my opinion. When I look at this steelbook, inside and out, I think of the movie The Dark Knight Rises. When I look at the original release with rain all over it, I think of.... rain.
That does look good, I already have the media markt Digibook with the same cover though so I can't justify getting this. Very nice looking Steel though!
I love the back artwork, and the inside,.... But still hate that ugly ass front cover.
Vastly prefer the cover of the HMV one, but the back is a lot better on this. Might have to whip up a hybrid.
