The Dark Knight Rises (Blu-ray SteelBook) [UK]

Does anyone know if amazon.co.uk packaging has gotten any better? It's been a while since I've ordered from them.

Right now, I have my order with Zavvi. Anyone have any issues with their 'new' packaging?

Thanks in advance.
Even Amazon UK have the "certified frustration free' packaging I still can confirm that once in a while they'd still ship one Steelbook in jiffy bag, I've got Jaws from them about a month ago come with Jiffy bag luckily the Steelbook survived the transit... Let alone Amazon US they always ship one steelbook in jiffy bag, always...

i've never gotten a steel from amozon uk in a jiffy bag however i did recieve hellboy in a cardboard wraparound without the shrink wrap. luckily it arrived unscathed.

Have mine come from sainsburys this morning, along with TDK. Both in mint condition

Nothing mind blowing about the Steel but i'm glad to own it and add to my ever growing Batman Blu-Ray/DVD collection.

Going to keep it sealed for a while.

picked this up at my local dutch mediamarkt so it's not the UK version but i assume this will be the same ... it has a glossy finish by the way and it's a 3-disc edition (blu-ray, blu-ray special features and dvd)

for those still on the fence pick this up because it's a real beauty

For the time being, you are correct. These images are of the German version. No images of the UK version yet which will most likely be Matte with 2 disc.

If you ordered from Sainsbury's you may receive a 2nd copy of Batman Begins instead of Dark Knight Rises.

I called to let them know I had received BB instead of TDKR and it seems there has been some sort of problem during the shipping process. All I was told was that I would get a call Monday letting me know how they intend to rectify the problem.

For now I will watch Batman Begins twice :hilarious: then The Dark Knight and wait for The Dark Knight Rises.. :ugh:

That would be a nice little gift as I have just got back from holiday to find Invoice say TDKR but Steel was BB.

As an aside, what's the betting Warners are now going to use their 90th Anniversary to re-issue a slew of steels in fancy packing ?

Yes, that has happened to me as well, but I just went through the on-line returns process to order a replacement quoting the reason as wrong item sent. Replacement item has been at Preparing for Despatch stage since yesterday morning though!
