i receieved it, and it 's not a matte finish, but it's not a glossy finish (not varnished like the disney ones for instance)either, it's a zero finish
maybe we don't have the same definition, for me:
- Glossy finish :
varnished (disneys for instance)
- Spot gloss :
some places of a steel that are varnished some others are not
- Zero finish :
not matte , but not varnished neither (like this steel)
- Matte finish :
matte(like the last samurai CA)

i have the US batman tdk righ now, i 'll have the uk one soon(next week or the week after) cause i rather its finish over the us one
i ll post a comparative photo (or several)so that you can see the difference between a matte finish steel(us one) and a zero finish steel(uk one)
cause they all (uk batman steels)seem to be the same finish, not glossy but not matte either(zero finish, closer to glossy than matte finish for me)

Yes. I thought it was already confirmed that it WASN'T matte?? The U.S. has a more matte finish than the UK one, am I right?

I wasn't talking about TDK I was talking about TDKR. And I don't know what you would call it because I'm pretty new to steelbooks, don't know if it's matte, zero finish or whatever. But here are some recordings to show you what I mean.
I tried to capture the "glossiness" of the steelbooks only to see that for TDKR there was nothing to capture.

Can't really tell much from those vids.
Poor quality and the TDKR still got the shrink wrap on! So impossible to see anything really

i know you were referring to this steel, the part where i talk about making comparative photo(s) were to show you the difference between what's matte and what is not (there's no tdkr with the same art as this uk edition, so i can't make comparative for this one..)
the batman tdkr(uk) is not glossy , but not matte as is US tdk
from what i read and saw they(uk batman steels) all have the same treatment/finition , which is zero finish
the fact that you weren't to capture /show it from your video is because you haven't removed the shrink wrap..
anyways, i can assure you(i opened it) that batman tdkr uk is not mate

Now I'm curious to see what the difference is between matte finish and zero finish...
But I can also assure you that not all UK Batman steels have the same finish (I got all of them). That's why I was so disappointed when I saw TDKR because it was the last steelbook to unpack and I saw right away that it was different. That's why I kept it in the shrink wrap because I thought I'll sell this one...

the only possibility for a difference between batman 1/2 and batman 3 would be that the first 2ones were glossy finish/spot glossy finish, which woould be weird to me , it wouldn't make sense to me..
anyways, batman tdkr (uk) is not matte, that's already pretty good for me (who was afraid of it )
