Its a glossy type finnish, but not full gloss. Its not matte. (Refering to UK copy)

for me it is the same looking at the photo you 're referring to bluesteel
as thewoe said, not "fully glossy" but definitely not matte, closer to glossy than a matte finish for me ( zero finish to be more specific)

Just recieved this yesterday, this is much better than the original steelbook, never was a fan of the batcowl, its a nice pickup for a movie that has only been out since last year.

You are indeed correct. The finish is the same as UK Black Hawk Down and Zombieland. More of a lustre finish than the rough matt found on the US version.

it "shines", but barely(if you want it to shine more than that , then go for the DE one)

Unfortunately Sainsbury's wanted their Batman Begins back so I waited until the replacement TDKR arrived which was yesterday. Not too bad at all but one has to ask, why did they do this ??

It is. Same with Batman Begins. The UK one is so much better. It has definitely got a bit of glossy shine to it which is completely missing on the US release.

I know people are probably sick looking at this. But I took some pics (with and without flash) to try and show the finish on these.

There is certainly an element of gloss to them. Especially TDKR, it's impossible to keep fingerprints off it!!

Thanks for the pics! I still prefer the first CA/US Batman Begins steel artwork. But this TDKR steel is way better than the cowl.
