Will definitely buy this, but i cant see it sell ou any time soon, so theres ought to be a price drop eventually.. from recent experience that will most likely happen within 24 hours after ive lost my patience and bought it for full price

sorry to bring this topic up again, but the german disc has the following run-time:
100:04 Min. (95:48 Min. without credits)

UK (pathé)
99:29 Min. (95:11 Min. without credits)

(according to german database OFDB)

can somebody tell me where this difference results from?

it was said already, that the UK version should be the unrated cut (with a longer ending), but maybe something else is cut?

^

IMDB said:
Runtime: 99 min | 100 min (original unrated cut)

Movie-Censorship said:
R-Rated version = 98:35 Min.
Unrated version = 99:51 Min.

Sounds like the UK release is the cut version (the original ending has been changed in the cut version).

On the other hand, BBFC says that "All known versions of this work passed uncut" :dunno:

maybe the BBFC consider the r-rated version also as "uncut".
please could someone who has the UK disc from pathé confirm if it has the unrated ending or not?
thanks!

If I understand correctly:

The US version originally had the ending cut, it was released Cut and Uncut for DVD/Blu Ray
The UK version was never cut, the original version is the only version in the UK

I found my UK Pathé Productions/Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment amaray release.

The running time of the main feature is 99:29, indeed (as reported by PowerDVD).

Unfortunately I can't comment anything about the ending, as this is still in my "to watch" pile ;)

Slight differences in the running time could be simply attributed to the sometimes elaborate logo displays of the distributors for different countries at the beginning of the feature.

Just verified with a region-switchable Blu-ray player that the disc is locked to region B; I'm assuming this steelbook has the same disc.

This steelbook looks so cool, one of the scariest films I have ever seen. The price has dropped on Zavvi to £16.49, anyone know how many copies were issued purely from a point of view as to whether I should purchase ths now or do you think it is likely that the price will drop any further. I waited for 'The Game' price to drop and purchased it for £7.99. Don't want to wait for a further reduction only to see it go out of stock.

I'm waiting for a pricedrop also but im pretty sure enough we can wait for it to drop around the 10 mark without it beeing sold out.
