Oh, come on, REALLY??? Wait for the collector's editions to sell out, then wait for the buyers who missed out on the collector's editions to buy the standard editions then release a boxset...
That's low...
Agreed.
I'm just expecting it to be the standard Amarays jammed in the slip box with no extras. If there's something ultra limited only with this box set then I'll be really p*ssed

Arrow at the time they was doing the separate individual limited or standard editions of films they were contractually not allowed to do a trilogy box set of all 3 films (same restriction also applied Kino Lorber when they done their releases)

The restriction MGM imposed on Arrow has been lifted that's why they are now allowed to do a Trilogy Box Set

Agreed, if they throw anything extra into this it'll be a massive kick in the teeth for those of us who already have the individual releases...
To be honest, don't think that'll be the case and expect this to be a straightforward slipcase containing amarays...

So is this a straight set of Amaray single standards or is there anything special coming with this other than the all in one slip box?
Do you know @paulboland?

The leaked listing that's since been removed mentioned all 8 discs from the limited edition sets as well as a booklet and 3 double-sided posters.

It will be known for sure on Friday the complete contents to be included

That's an almost psychotic release strategy, and absolutely antagonizing their customer base. When these 3 films were announced I was wondering why they wouldn't release a box set of these.

Well, make money with limited editions, make money with standard editions and then you can sell the trilogy boxes to many of those same people because people want them all in one box. It's honestly mind blowing that they have the nerve to openly do that.

I bought the "A fistful of dollars" LE recently during the brief restock on arrow and was hoping the other LEs would come back in stock again too soon, but now with this announcement I'll be buying the box set since I don't own any of the other releases.

So they INCLUDED the "limited edition only" documentary from The Good, The Bad, the Ugly.

That's pretty low. Companies don't give a sh*t and LIMITED means nothing anymore.

Just because they can now release this doesn't mean they should. They didn't have permission in the first place and should have left it at that. PersonallyI think my individual limited editions are better but this is a definite kick in the teeth for those who purchased the standard editions.

I ordered two from HMV and both had issues with the outer box corners so had to go back. Ordered two more from Amazon and once again the corners were rough, so they went back.

Subsequent replacements from Amazon proved successful, but it seems to me it's basically pot luck if you get a good one.

The problem basically is that Arrow haven't supplied a tough enough outer box imo. Just something to look for out for guys.
