Also there will be a 4 disc limited edition I expect that will be a digipak in a slipbox release

The UHD disc is the only disc that contains the two versions of the movie: Theatrical and Final Cut: seamlessly branched. The two Blu-rays DO NOT contain the movie at all, ONLY the 4K UHD disc contains the movie.

What's your source? I only ask because the UK Collectors edition is different from the steelbook editions. The steelbook editions only have 3-discs, NOT 4. Only the Collectors Edition has 4-discs.

That's what I'm saying Paul is what you just said but the steelbook editions all have two versions of the film, the theatrical and the final cut, which both reside on the UHD disc ONLY, not the Blu-ray.
The Collectors edition has the films on both UHD disc and Blu-ray.

Lucky I purchased the 4 disc UK collectors edition

I would have expected UK steelbook be same blu-ray discs
I will try find out if UK steelbook different to Germany Steelbook

Thanks, then it looks as though I bought the wrong edition. I should have bought the UK edition instead. My folks want to watch the Blu-ray because they don't have a 4K setup so it looks like I'll be buying the UK edition and giving this one away during Ninja Week next year.

Yep, I received the UK edition today and it's as you stated; UHD disc (both cuts), BR disc (both cuts) and Bonus BR disc. I'll be giving the German edition away during Ninja Week next year.
