Q) What is the purpose of this thread?
A) To discuss Ebay policies/issues

Q) Where can i find the Ebay Presale Policy?
A) Click HERE

Q) Can a HDN Trade mod help me with an Ebay sale/trade issue? Also why is there no 'ebay bad traders' list?
A) Simply put, no. To find out why, ensure you read the following spoiler:
please use this thread as a RESOURCE to ask your fellow members about problems you've had with a reseller or questions about e-bay.

do NOT use this thread to attack or refute other members. if you an e-bay dispute with a member here, perhaps it's best to approach a trading mod before posting? we don't police e-bay, but maybe we can give you a tip or two.

if members ignore these suggestions, then the thread might be locked for a couple of weeks.

thank you.

hey folks,

as a reminder what myself (and other mods) have continued to mention via private message, e-mail and other areas. we do NOT police other trading marketplaces like ebay, youtube, amazon and the rest.

there is ONLY a certain amount of information at our disposal and we do not have the resources in these other locations as we do on this forum - things that we can look at and evaluate.

having said that, there are trading rules on this forum that have been instituted for your own protection for trading transactions that happen HERE.

this includes the pending / active sales threads, the requirement of feedback posted for any new traders, our support ticketing system, the active investigations held by trading moderators and many other things we do not discuss openly.

we have long held that problems occurring on these other forums and marketplaces should be taken the appropriate authorities on THOSE websites.

many of you are established traders here on this forum and you should know all about the guidelines that are stickied in this section - including having new traders send first, getting tracking from the other party and proof of shipment, and what other precautions can be taken to protect your trading safety.

trading via ebay and their messaging system is against their stated policy and should not occur - and there are reasons why they have created that policy. you don't have protection of paypal or their listing system as a buyer or seller.

having said that, if there is trouble with an ebay seller or buyer, you should go to their website and report it there. if you are not aware of this process, follow the below link for more information.

http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/buy/report-trading.html

so folks can feel free to chat about a seller or buyer that they are having problems with, but I can tell you right now - there will not be a "witch hunt" by moderators or staff based on one person's account of the problems or trouble they are having - and we limit the action taken for or against members here to transactions that occurred on this forum.

as stated in the thread title of our bad traders list - that list is for FORUM MEMBERS ONLY.

thank you.
Q) Where can i find the HDN Buyer Beware / Bad Traders list?

Hello everyone,

I justed wanted to give a heads up to any NEW/veteran collector, watch out for tracy8151. This eBay member sells bootlegs that you may think are rare limited edition Steelbooks. I've seen people drop big bucks for these cheap discs, I should know because when I started collecting I thought this was a Steelbook. If you search using Google you might find a thread discussing these bad chinese copies. Yet another seller who scams people and eBay FAILS miserably at stoping this or protecting buyers from this. I don't have anything against the seller, but people should know what they are buying.

I don't do eBay much but how is it your credit card protects you??? What do you do or say to your credit card company???

if someone frauds you or you get an item broken, smashed or "significantly not as described" you file a claim with your credit card company for a charge back (your money back) and 99% of the time the credit card company will side with you (Assuming your being honest). I have had to file 4 claims with my credit card company in 10 years of online shopping and all 4 times my credit card company took care of me.

Thanks guys for the help. I don't do eBay much but I recently got a steelbook there it arrived damaged and I sent it back and the tracking information says the item hasn't been delivered and this is over a freaking month. So I will be getting screwed on this. Luckily it wasn't too expensive but still money is money.

be carefull of this Mexicano MoFo ~ porcayo_usa he says 100% Mint & item rocks up with dints, scratches , all corners shrink robed & corners all chipped !! it is endless list !!

I told hime "why say 100% mint" when the item is Clearly not ??

he juyst offered a refund & that as it !! no verball excuese !!

so- Not porcayo ~ but puérco_usa !!

Folks, this is NOT the place or thread to discuss your own internal trades, disputes, or issues.

You can PM a trading mod, each other, or discuss your problem in some other fashion.

In addition, this thread is not the spot for discussing trade issues with another member here that might have occurred on e-bay and are still in the process of being resolved.

As stated previously, repeat offenders will be warned and then sanctioned if it's the same parties discussing on this thread.

Thanks in advance.

Please stay away from this_means_war

He has now left negative feedback for the 2nd time. Its complete bs. I refunded his money on the first purchase and never sent item back and now leaves another negative from the 2nd item he bought.

I am sick of liars. One thing though is I believe in karma.

I hate it when people say **** that aint true. Now I got a person who is claiming I sent an unsealed product on feedback. Thats news to me. That person has never even responded to me in a email or anything. I guess they assume a steelbook is not sealed if it comes with a protecive poly sleeve. I guess I should send all my steelbooks without them from now on. Geez. Until he changes what he said I am gonna block him from buying now as well.

They left positive feedback but said it was not factory sealed in the feedback.

Its all good though. The more these bozos try to hurt me, the stronger I get and the more I sell. If I had a listing for every steelbook I own I would have more listings than what is on ebay right now for steelbooks. If anyone wants to get into a pricing war I say bring it on. How low can you go!!! :D
