I'd like to report on my SteelBook, but 19 days have gone by since I received my "its on its way" e-mail from HMV 
just got mine today..front cover was fine. but afraid to open and find all the "issues" of this steelbook..
Mine arrived today with a small bend crease near the back "lip" Fortunately I was able to gently press it out with the use of a soft leaded pencil. Totally gone now.
Just received mine yesterday in the mail (it was a pre-order at HMV w/14.00GBP price). I was surpised like everyone else when i heard the steelbook rattling around in the thin box. No bubble wrapping what so ever. Mine was shipped from the U.K. all the way to Calif. USA. So mine got tossed around a little more then my fellow eastcoast forum members. To my releif no bends, indentions on the front. But when i looked at the back closer in the light at an angle. you can see a tiny pinhole indention on the lower right backside (it's hard to see with just the naked eye). I looked at the paper backing & no marks what so ever where the pinhole is. So yeah it looks like the pinhole damages on the backside happened during the manufacturing process. I was thinking of picking up a spare copy (now i know why ebay prices are dropping for this steelbook haha). But it's a chance i might get one with worst damage hiden by the back paper cover. I guess i'll just wait for the Japanese Amazom exclusive release in the summer.
I'm waiting for the Japanese one too, love the extra slip and leaflet and it'll be ding-free too which is always nice
Had exactly the same problem on one of the ones I got, didn't want to open both of them but luckily the other ones perfect. Anyone thinking of returning and replacing... I'd do so soon, I was told there were 300 left on Monday, today apparently it was half that according to the person I spoke to on the phone?
Just got mine in the mail. Opened it. Its in perfect shape. Region Free (I live in Canada). I'm very pleased with it.
2 of the 3 I ordered were damaged, but, to give HMV some credit, I returned them on Tuesday and yesterday they confirmed replacements were on their way - may even arrive tomorrow.
Hopefully these two will be A OK and two members here can relax

Got mine in the US in mint condition, but now I'm a little worried about Sherlock Holmes 2.
Never seen it but had some HMV pure credit so went and picked this up this morning in store. Minty fresh. Hearing some good things about the film too!
