OC secured, that was easier than expected (clearly less demand than usual!)
Maybe, but something fishy was happening on the site anyway, it was immedietely sold out, then available, then there was a Paypal queuing process and then once I clicked the button it was sold out. Oh well, ebay it is.....

That's how it works every release, I'm guessing their system is setup so they have to mark an item as available and then they update the stock numbers. So if you're early enough it shows up as SOLD OUT, you just have to keep refreshing till the pre-order button appears.

That OC went crazy fast, and paypal decided to have a spazz out with the human testing.. Managed to secure a copy though, so all good.

The sold out thing happens quite often. You just gotta keep refreshing until it updates to Pre-Order. Happened with me with The Dark Knight

Well, yes and it still worked fine the last 17 times (well, 16, but I didn't care about The dark Knight anyway), but not this time.....even though there is clearly no demand

On the Collectong site every release immediately shows up as sold out before switching to preorder. This is completely normal; it happens every time. I've only gotten the PayPal queue once in the past but still managed to get through and please my order. But there are pretty much reports of it with every release. I would figure it's either a PayPal glitch or means you just weren't fast enough. Hope you're able to get a copy. I would imagine after the first rush of scalpers selling copies at obscene prices, they'll settle in a not too egregious price range.

I really liked DL-B but went with the full slip. This allows me to sell my steelbook and at this point to buy something new I am forcing myself to sell something (or somethings) to recoup the costs.

Of course. I've been hitting F5 since 13:55 my time and kept doing so after it initially appeared as sold out, but the queuing Paypal ruined it for me then....

Yeah, just a stark contrast to last time with Black Hawk Down, when after easily ordering the OneClick even the Back in Stock items were all still there. Yeah, I'm waiting til its released and grab it off the bay. There are usually people selling it almost at cost afterwards, because they only realized how much money they spent on it with customs and DHL fees later :naughty:

Picked today to go for a 6 mile run when not ran a mile this year...

My body & brain until 12:57...

Under 3 mins from laid out on the couch flat from cold laptop to OC in basket and nearly through checkout...

Not to be though... managed to snag DL-A. Relieved!

If someone did not get an OC, you can buy one on KOSM just for 3500£ (and I'm not even joking) :shipped:
You know full well even if you pay that much there's still only a 50/50 chance he'll actually ship it, 5 months late, after ignoring all your emails about the order.

Dafuq are u smoking?
Some STRONG delusion LMAO

My first experience of trying to buy via Manta was when The Dark Knight released. I waited patiently for the go-live, refreshed and... instantly sold out. Like in literally one second.

The fact that didn't happen this time felt, in comparison, way easier. Plus I was able to buy an OC and after checking out they were still available.

Obviously I've since learned that the instant Sold Out button doesn't necessarily mean it's sold out, so there's a chance I could have snagged TDK if I'd been more aware.

In any case I can only apologise for the ignorance!
