Pt3 SL gone now too. I mean, get it.. higher price, plus people will still think sour of the film. Coda is considerably better than prior cuts though, and if it were me, I'd still want a trilogy set.

+ More and more collectors are quitting.
Yeah, I've noticed people started selling off presumably their whole collections, or most of it, 10-15 years ago, and I can understand why: they realize it's a never ending process, see how much they already spent/wasted, run out of space, 'grow up' (which is equivalent to dying in my mind), and get other more important responsibilities.
Plus there seems to be more stuff being released now, than 20 years ago during the peak of DVD format, so it can be overwhelming (if you consider everything worldwide, which I always did).

Well, the worst thing you can do is let the collection rot. When I started collecting again it wasn't a whole lot of fun seeing how utterly worthless my DVDs had become, especially when I imported a lot from the US. OK, sure we're unlikely to get a bluray replacement like we did with DVD but if the collection isn't doing it for you anymore it makes sense to go scorched earth imo.

I would have been all over this OneClick if it hadn't been for the Mantas and the Blufans and the Taiwanese Slipcover ones before that. I love the first 2 Godfather films and don't mind the 3rd, but how much shelf space should be dedicated to these movies?
I noticed some people selling their collections, but that always happened and new people constantly appeared and are apearing on the scene, even though not necessarily on HDN. Not enough talk about stock counts probbaly

Have Blufans released theirs yet?

Stock counts? My moment to shine then!

I like these chunky boy Weet OCs a lot but their price (after fees, shipping etc) makes them hard to stomach when they're not the absolute best editions and I don't think there's much argument about which is better between Weet and Manta for Godfather, then we've got the Blufans set dropping at some point... is it really any wonder there wasn't a lot of excitement for this?

Nope, but I usually get these if they are for classic films and not :BS: like Dungeons and Dragons and.... certain mad and furious films that I can't stand :)
dungeons & dragons is a great movie, i enjoyed every minute.
i know everyone has a different taste, but to call d&d sh!t is too harsh!
same with furiosa.

Dungeons and Dragons is an entertaining kids movie that is ok to stream, but I cannot understand for the life of me why there needs to be a special collector's Blufans steelbook edition of it, sitting between Vertigo and Shawshank, but it is what it is. Furiosa? Whatever.....

Wasn’t even aware this was going live today. Not much buzz around it all. Surely they know when they all start making the same films as premiums it starts to kill it all. Or are they all up their own arses and ignorant to the competition? Think weet have completely lost it if you ask me. I’m literally waiting for across the spiderverse then I can’t see them releasing much in the future id want. Designs are really starting to dip too. Not just with this. Been happening a while

Might sound strange but it kinda works out the same price as Manta. 1 OC with 6 slips for $380 vs 2 OC's with 6 slips for $360 (then two sets of shipping...).

If the designs had been really strong I'd have bit the bullet and gone for this OC.

Interesting point.
Would you have gone for it over the Manta because it comes in one single box as a whole unit?

That appeals to me also. Everything in one spot. I know people have picked up the first film OC for that reason (swap out) but how much more convenient is it to have one complete collection in one fell swoop? It makes more sense in real terms...at least to me anyway.

I really do like the big Weet OC's but if the slips/steels are weak then does it matter how nice the OC box is? I actually sold my Dark Knight Trilogy for that reason, couldn't bring myself to open it and halve the value, wasn't in love with the contents so time to move on. Not sure how I'd feel about it if I came late to these sets though, I'd probably be pinning my hopes on Blufans at this point but it's not like buying this OC is a mistake, I can see the attraction I really can and not having to fight for other premiums would be a bonus.

Yep. The WeET front cover art was a real buzz kill. If it had been a decent mix of original promotional and existing designs I would have gladly gone for an all in one box.
Yep. I'm intrigued to see what BF has to offer now.
