I'd buy this only because of De Niro on the disc art. Can't remember his face on any Godfather 2 release which makes absolutely no sense to me. I think it was one of his best performances ever. Well done Blufans!

I think a lot of collectors' judgement is clouded by Blufans' reputation. They could probably put a picture of a turd on a Steelbook and sell it for $50 to some here. I'll give credit where it is due, Blufans usually get it right but this one is a let down.

Personally, I like. The last time I saw three films was on DVD, I can not wait to see bluray

Agreed.

It looks like there might be some slight debossing in the blood spatter.

Thanks, saw your previous post about it.

It'd be great if Kevin gets a chance to confirm whether it actually is or isn't.

Kind of confused... Japan releases the same old world "exclusive" covers with art cards for rediculous prices and people go batshit.

Blufans give us those extras plus numbering/low print runs and a unique slip for a reasonable price and people still want more... I'm sure if the studios allowed it, they would have gave us some unique art. Oh well, the less people interested the easier it'll be to secure myself a copy :)

visually the artwork is boring, but quality wise it looks pretty mint and the slip covers are cool looking, too. I really dig the clear slip with the gold lettering and blood splatter, but I also really like the all gold slip. Either way it looks like it's going to be a very premium edition.

The price tag is pretty steep though, 488 yuan. I bought the slipbox set for $20, I think.

I think...it's UV coating, you can see there's some glossy to it but the surface is still flat... also when you see the inside artwork, there's no embossed...

Good call. When I first looked, it looked like the edges of the blood were slightly raised (hence the debossing), but I think you may have hit the proverbial nail right on the head, my friend...
