I used to pre-order a lot of titles, but those days are over now that hardly anything sells out anymore (in the UK) and most of the steels look nothing like their mock ups and/or description.

If I was a collector of mockups, I'd have a great collection, but I'm not.

With the technology available, a mock up should be a fair representation of the item being sold. I raised this point before that nothing with embossing has been presented as such on any of their exclusives. Many other retailers at least add the border to show this. Hell some of the concept art here on the forum show this. Maybe they should hire some of the guys who contribute to the concept art section to help. Grey is grey.....not silver like place beyond the pines. They do receive samples so would make sense again to change the mock up to be a fair representation of item on offer

I had a look through my pre-orders and sadly this had to go. May change my mind at a later date after seeing actual pics.

I'm very excited about this one, I have a feeling it will look very good in hand.. just hope I'm not disappointed like when I recieved my Japanese goonies, japans one still looks very good but only when its positioned to catch the light just right.. Not like the advertised picture at all.. This has been happening so much lately that it doesn't seem to matter what we think of the mock up pic cos we can recieve the product baring little resemblance to what we pre ordered. Having said that I am always pleasantly surprised when I open up an amazing steel.. thats what keeps me collecting "goonies never say die"

I haven't either and I was also wondering what was happening with this and others due out Monday (gremlins and Olympus has fallen) not had any money come out or any dispatch notifications!!

No money taken so no dispatch notifications here. Noticed these are down for 7Oct. Had POTA and Die Hard dispatched. Those were dated 8 Oct release date.

Strange one. Probably Friday dispatch again for delivery Tues/Wed like last set.
