This is one of the best looking steels I have got hold of this year. It is a good example of how with a bit of thought steelbooks can look. Nicely designed, good choice of imagery, good paint finish and good emboss work on the title. Everything has come together here very nicely and the end result is a visually stunning product. Compared to some of the dull mat black steels of late this really stands out which is why I can give The Goonies Steelbook 8/10

My last 3 steels from Zavvi have all had spine slashes now. It takes me about 1 second to spot this damage, so why do they keep sending these out. It just says to me, they don't give a damn.

It is very annoying and for collectors like us it is a very important thing. I'm sure the people who are packing them wouldn't even know about spine slashes so I can't see them checking them over unfortunatly.

I'm sure that's the case Sigill. I've seen the way some staff handle these delicate items first hand and it ain't pretty. It's a miracle we get anything mint.

Do like this steelbook and it is a great finish as everyone is saying. But personally for artwork that is based on a painting (rather than photography or design) I would have preferred a high quality matte finish on the front (though retaining the glossy title). Im not sure if gloss and painted artwork are a natural combination. Otherwise great work on this one.

Mine was shipped out on October 4th and I still haven't received it. I usually get my orders from Zavvi within a week. Even my order from amazon.fr which shipped out on the 11th arrived today.

If it makes you feel any better, you should have it shortly. Mine was shipped out when they all shipped out too and I JUST got it today. Seeing as you live in Canada and I live in the States (Iowa to be exact), I would like to think you'd have it real soon. I usually get my orders from Zavvi within a week too. This one took awhile for whatever reason.

This steelbook is slick though. Definitely one of the best Zavvi has released, in my opinion.

I can't wait to have this in hand-one of my faves as well as my wife's. I am making her her own shelf because some of her faves are coming out too -double trouble lol!
