Found this picture of Mr. Hankey on the net. If Warner want to keep the new cover for the SteelBook they might as well send us a Mr. Hankey with it.

Beware that the picture is gross and not everyone's "taste" of humor (or humour).

Man people are losing their minds over this. Does it look worse? Yes. Is it the worst cover in the history of movies? I doubt it. It doesn't look terrible.

The part that mystifies me is why they changed the background. The gold design on the previous was really sharp. Every line was defined. Now on this cover, the background is really faintly defined. It's like the difference between drawing a line with a ball-point pen (first cover) and a pencil (this cover). Strange choice.

This artwork is disgusting! I also find it disgraceful that Warner Bros would change the original artwork (which was awesome) to this bland affair. Was there really any need to slap Leonardo DiCaprio's mug all over it? The original artwork was appealing because of the simplicity!

Aside from it being a SteelBook, the only reason I ordered this release was because of the artwork - It's a bit off that they change the artwork a long time after customers have pre-ordered it, as not everyone keeps up-to-date with these things. There are surely going to be a lot of disappointed customers when this finally ships who aren't aware that the artwork has been changed!

Maybe the Image with Leo dicaprio on is just a clear Slipcover over the Steelbook underneath??

If this is indeed the case, then I retract my former comments. However, I still think the retailers should mention whether it comes with a slipcover, as this is the sort of thing that could put off prospective buyers - Especially after seeing some of the other comments above!

Maybe this hasn't sold very well and they've changed the art to mix it up. If the original cover was that good it would have sold out and they may not have tinkered with it

Which in theory should mean because of all the cancellations, they may revert back to the original?

If they are so afraid the original art isn't commercial enough, why not simply put a cardboard slip on it with a photo of Leonardo? It just doesn't make sense to my that they go and change the whole thing just so it could look more like a regular amaray.

What would've ben cool though is if the new art was just a transparent plastic slipcover with Leo covering the title on the actual steel.

Don't understand how someone who puts something like this together get's actually paid. This just looks like ****! Canceling my pre-order...

Edit: If they want these names on the steelbook so badly they should've done something like this. But my guess is that this is from the same guy at Warner who came up with that brilliant black banner for 'The Prestige'. However putting the names on this artwork somehow took me 5 minutes and I think this would've been a better choice, certainly better than that yellow Leo.
