Ive only seen the first film, it was ok I suppose. I like how the steelbook is 'the hangover trilogy' then just in case your not sure what is, it has 'the hangover, the hangover part 2, the hangover part 3' written under it for clarification lol

will I be buying it? probably not..cant say Im all that fussed about owning the films at all let alone in a steel...

I don't like the US/CA steels for 1 & 2 so I don't really care if the 3rd has an individual release or not.

I really like the look of this steel, minus the "Limited Edition" printed at the bottom.

I'm loving the look of this as a steelbook but I have to say they have it 100% wrong for this release! It does not define the nature of these films. They are a trilogy of comedy films for petes sake!

Am I missing something or is it just me?:wtf::dunno::wtf:

I think it's a post-modern interpretation of Vegas: the gold, representing greed and excess, is set against the black backdrop, representing an ultimate sense of emptiness.

That, or someone was just f**king lazy and figured people would just buy it anyway because it's a steelbook. (I still think it looks pretty nice. As long as that wolf is as blinging as the mockup makes it out to be.)

I think it could have been a great steelbook if there wasn't so much empty space in the lower half.

What I would have done, since this steelbook chooses to go the 'iconic' route with the wolf symbolizing the Wolfpack, is I would have put the silhouettes of Phil, Alan and Stu, walking side by side, in the same 'gold' color as the wolf.

The shadows of the characters like that in gold over the black background :

And I would have gotten rid of the "The Hangover - The Hangover Part II - The Hangover Part III" line. As for back artwork, I'd have a golden Chow sitting on the ground and laughing his ass off.

I purchased The Hangover and The Hangover Part II in individual steelbooks from the Warner US wave back in May so I'll try and get The Hangover Part III by itself.

Sadly, there is no 'iconic' character to put on the cover : the first one had the baby, the second one had the monkey, but what can we find for the third one, in the same spirit (aka not one of the major characters) ? Maybe the giraffe, yeah that'd work as cover and fit with the steelbooks of the previous two films, although that was just for a one-off joke.

Here's hoping Germany (the only country that announced a Hangover 3 steelbook) thought of that.

Another GREAT EASSY PASS!!! only liked the first one.

Thanks for the constructive comment. :movie:

Chao should be on the back, the front yet simple seems perfect for this movie. High Gloss will make up for the overly black design. But I think the wolf howling is a perfect touch. Deboss it and your gold! :scat:

With that in mind, I own the first 2, and hope to see a 3rd available withen reach. :scat:

I loved the first and second movie, I think they are really funny. And the second part in Thailand is hilarious. I've been in Bangkok many times.

I haven't seen the 3rd one, so depending of the price I'll get this steelbook or not.
