The nine plus hours of new special features boasts audio commentary with Peter Jackson, the film’s director/producer/screenwriter, and Philippa Boyens, co-producer/screenwriter, as well as The Appendices, a multi-part documentary focusing on various aspects of the film and the Trilogy.

The Digital bits contacted Warners over the lack of 3D in the US release http://www.digitalbits.com/columns/my-two-cents/082515_1300
Now… Warner’s press release doesn’t really mention a Blu-ray 3D release of either, so I called and asked for clarification. Here’s the deal: The Blu-ray 3D versions of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies – Extended Edition and The Hobbit Trilogy: Extended Edition are going to be Amazon-exclusives. That’s why they’re not listed in the press release

Very happy that they have kept the same art style and packaging for all these films! So Awesome.
Doesn't happen that often and I get very OCD and frustrated when they change it or do something different and they don't match each other.
Very cool that they made the trilogy set match the LOTR set too. Pros over there. :thumbs:
