Where are most people buying from. JSDVD or Yesasia. Bearing in mind price,CS, packeging, customs etc?

As you can probably tell, this may be my first TW purchase:D

I use JSDVD now, its much cheaper than YA but there is the risk of customs, although if you declare it right 9/10 you are safe, plus if you do get stung with customs it will cost about the same as ordering from YA anyway ;)

Wow, I'm glad I checked on this thread. Just logged into my JSDVD account and I have 4 orders - including one for this title - going back a month, all showing as "shipping fee charging". They used to send emails telling you when something was ready to ship. I guess not anymore!

I noticed that as well. I kept wondering why I hadn't received an email for my shipping charges, so I checked my account yesterday and saw that it was ready to ship, but awaiting my shipping payment.

I ordered this steel from JSDVD and I plan opening it. Combining it with 47 Ronin collectors edition. (Or whatever it's called). I probably should have ordered from amazon.uk to save some cash but at least I know that extra cash will get me superb packaging and better quality control than amazon, not that amazon are bad or anything

Looks like this will be the first TW steel I open because I'm not feeling that slip either. Wish I wouldn't have ordered it now, but oh well.
I was so looking forward to this release, the Taiwanese version, but I hate the cover, beautiful slip, but the steel itself I don't really like it.... especially again with The Hobbit, it's the shortest release of all the lord of the ring series, so I'm just gonna be waiting for the extended version to be released. If the steel would have been more beautiful I would have givin' in, but it's bland....(other than the Taiwanese slip cover)... There's been many interviews that indicated that this release also will get the extended treatment... now will we have an Asian Steelbook(as we didn't get an asian for the first Hobbit extended) I don't know. But at this point I'd rather wait a couple of months and get the extended version 3D/2D...I waisted money on the first release, waiting to rewatch it, in extended edition , before I see the 2nd one.. and I can't believe I have the patience to do so.

Agree guys.....The slip does not look as good as expected.
Plus the Colour is out and does not blend with the steel. Doesn't help though that the steel is so washed out colour wise and a cheap matte finish...:naughty:

I'm glad I didn't order this or any of "The Desolation Of Smaug steels".....
