THANKS buddy!@bloodsnake007 I've seen the BB edition still in store as recently as a week ago and I believe it is still available online.

There are 4 at my local Best Buy. Shouldn't be that difficult. Now I have to hunt down that Edition!![]()

Last year Best Buy had a non jumbo of The Hobbit, so definitely want a slim version of this.Correct me if i'm wrong but this seems to be the only non-jumbo version, if you're not bothered about 3D, surely this is THE one to get?
It should be a standard case rather than a jumbo. The steelbook for "An Unexpected Journey" from Best Buy last year was standard size and only included 3 discs, which is also what is pictured for this release. I think the movie disc was supposed to include both 3D and 2D, but it didn't work on my blu-ray player. So I went ahead and got the 5 disc jumbo version from the UK as well, which included 2 discs for 3D, one disc for 2D, and 2 discs for appendices. For "The Desolation of Smaug," I will get this one as well as the Canadian 5 disc jumbo. Not only does this version include the 2D, it looks like it does NOT include 3D.So is this definitely slim case and does it definitely include the 2D?
Must get. So far my fav Hobbit movie. Can't wait to see what the next one brings.
Anybody known if the size of this steelbook is a "regular" size or a jumbo????![]()
