But the first one was an HMV exclusive. This one isnt so who knows how long it will last with other retailers selling it also.
 
I love the fact the artwork matches the first steel (which I should be receiving over the weekend) which will give me time to catch up before CF comes on Monday. It really bugs me when cover art just doesn't match. I don't know why.. just one of my many OCD eccentricities!
 
I might pick this up, as I often go into HMV during Lunch anyways. With regards to the movie itself, is it better then the first movie? I wasn't a huge fan of the first movie, only bought the steelbook because of HMV's sale.
 
They had this behind the counter in my local HMV today (its out tomorrow in Ireland) and I can confirm that this is the artwork and it is pretty much the exact same style as the HMV steelbook for the first Hunger Games. I couldnt take in hand pictures and I couldnt see the back because of the packaging.
I do like that it matches with the first one but seeing the slipcovers for the other editions (which were on the shelves) there is a lot of nicer artwork they could have used. :cool:

Held this in my hands at HMV this morning- another horrible looking steelbook. If it was glossed and embossed then it would be worth the price. :ugh:
 
Ooh - I really like the internal artwork on this. Similiar to the BestBuy US steelbook front, which I really like anyway.

Was originally gonna get the HMV digipack edition, but I'll wait til I can see them in person. Maybe a double dip is necessary here? We'll see!

Digipack is also pants. Canadian Collectors Edition slipcover with gold embossing and debossing in gold is nicest I've seen anywhere yet imo.

Edit: Just found some photos in the forum. Very nice design and colour scheme with good execution on the gold embossing. Too many options now. Thanks again, wouldn't have looked at that design otherwise :)
