Looking forward to this. Do kinda prefer the standard blu ray artwork but still impressed with the one. Again like TLM the price is high but it is a Disney steelbook. Should look good

Really excited about this one, if anything like Aladdin wow what a bonus. All these conspiracy theories are bang out of line, all based on absolutely nothing. Seems like a lot of people on here are not happy with Zavvi but its not justified or needed on here. Zavvi are a retailer, they can sell what they like, when they like, how they like on whatever website they like at any price they like. Simple. If you don't like it don't buy it end of. It's a free world and some of it may be marketing tactics but tactics are allowed and are perfectly legal. Please stop all the moaning and theories that have no substance. Zavvi are a brilliant retailer and they are taking steelbooks to the next level. If you don't like it get out and quit the crap. The jungle book is a proper classic and worth every penny, if you got a copy and it comes back into stock for a long time so what, just be glad you got one. This is outright Zavvi awesomeness at its best and hopefully they will be doing a lot more Disney releases soon.

Folks, personal attacks on this forum will not be tolerated.

We all know that many members, not just a couple that have popped up lately are very divisive in their comments and statements.

As mentioned before, report the post if it's really out of line, or put the person on your ignore list if their posts bother you.

Having said that, the next person that attacks another member in this or another Zavvi thread will indeed get some time off from the forum.

Depending on the severity of these comments, your suspension will range from a couple days to potentially a week.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation, I will be asking the mods to keep an eye out in case I do not spot something.

Explain why Aladdin ''sold out'' (the scammers @ Zavvi placed hundreds on their eBay shop at the inflated price of 23.99 + shipping) so fast? :p

Because Aladdin was such a low print run, most were probably bought by collectors who bought with the packaging and rarity (by the time it hit ebay) in mind over the content. As this is a larger print run it needs interest from both collectors and parents who want children to enjoy the classics. I've seen parents pick up an expensive Disney film and buy it after a son or daughter had no idea as to what the film was. That seemed to be how we sold 80% of our classic Disney until it was Christmas where people would buy it mindlessly.

Wasn't it originally a 4k PR? Then towards release it was increased to 5K?

Its very simple... if this had a low print run, zavvi would state that as they have with past releases. They have not done so with these two Disney titles. No conspiracy, just high print run... why all the complaints ? With the sheer beauty of nemo and Aladdin, we should be expecting the same for these two and just enjoy the fact they will be done right

I don't think anyone is too upset at the high print run (I know I'm not) as most people on here will have got their orders in early.

I think the main issue is how the price has risen from £14.99 with Roger Rabbit (that only had a 3k run I think) to £16.99 for Nemo (4k) and then £17.99 with Aladdin (4k but then close to 500 copies turned up on Zavvi Outlet for £23.99).

With the latest two steels being a whopping £22.99 for single disc films with, presumably, minimal extras you do have to wonder if it is merely a cash grab at this point. Though someone did say that Disney had impacted the price, whether that is true or not who knows, but it seems odd that the price has soared so much based on the five films announced thus far.

Still people are free to order or not, I'm sure the steels will look great, but you do have to question whether these prices are good value.

I've been ordering a lot of zavvi steelbook recently and they are doing a good 2 for £15 at the minute and I picked quite a few blue rays I haven't had before

Does anyone have a number on how many are actually going to be produced? Please PM me.

Thanks in advance!!!

why care about print nr?

because steelbooks are collectible items and collectors often care about such things like print run and rarity. no matter if its steelbooks, comics, action figures, post stamps, pokemon cards or whatever. just for the feeling to own something special.

i actually think 10k would be still a ok limitation for such a popular title but nobody knows or is allowed to tell how big the print run really is and this unknown fact let people drive crazy.
