They really should have the art up by now. I have no doubt that it will look excellent and probably have a really nice glossy finish, but it would be nice to know for sure.

At the same time, Close Encounters was pushed back a couple weeks and we did not have any info on this either...except about the gloss

I'd be happy if they pushed it back a couple of weeks... But I doubt it as they already changed the date for mid august when it was originally on sale in september

im tempted to cancel the one i was going to use as Trade, with it not selling out, i can prob get at a later date

i canceled all my Steels i wanted for trade- doesn`t make sense to me anymore since Zavvi is blowing out too many Steels in a short period of Time:thumbs:

Ordering for trade doesn't work much anymore. It's kind of pointless, even the titles that sell out like Rambo will flood ebay come release and it's likely the price will end up around the same anyway.

I can't wait to see this in hand with the little mermaid , I think I'll be sticking to UK disney releases as a rule also since Disney steels are popping up all over.

Cancelled as well. Just not worth $40 or thereabouts to get a single disc release. Disney or not can't justify this high price so will get the amaray when released here in the US. 1 order left on Zavvi and that too may face the axe.

Hey Mr Doom and Gloom, i think you've made your point in a number of threads about your dislike of Zavvi etc ;) At least there are Kimichi + Blufans to keep you happy :)

I for one am looking forward to this and will still be cheaper than ordering it abroad if someone else released it + the standard diamond edition in UK will only be a few £ cheaper :E

So I guess having an opinion lands one labels such as the above Mr. Doom & Gloom and Zavvi hater. I wholly heartedly detest these labels and name calling :(

Can someone show me where I said people shouldn't buy it? Simply stated this was not for me for a couple of reasons such as price and basic content. I have collected and will purchase steelbooks from all over the world including the UK and as so as long as I deem a release of purchase. So I find some of the recent Asian releases appealing for so many reasons doesn't mean I only collect them. I wholly expect Brits to support their steels.

Like Walmart, Apple, Microsoft, successful sports teams and all other companies deemed to be at the top of their respective industries, Zavvi stands out because of the sheer amount of releases and will elicit strong opinions from both sides. I expressed mine as have others in many other threads.

The customer always has the right to choose from different options in the marketplace. It has always been that way and always will be. You are free to express your opinion in the appropriate threads so that we can keep the forum a friendly and organized community for old and new movie or Steel fans alike. Just remember negativity breeds more negativity, so lets not get carried away with each other and resort to disrespect towards each other, please.

Maybe someone should contact them over facebook and ask for a pic of the real thing

I already have mate :)

Now that Jungle Book steelbook release date has been brought foward please show the inside art and back art so we can see what we are buying. A real life picture would also be great like what you did for nemo and dark souls. Thankyou

Hi Matt,
Thanks for taking the time to contact zavvi.com regarding our Steelbooks.
I will be more than happy to pass you requests over to the relevant departments.

No news yet?

Hi Matt,
We are still working on it hopefully the pictures are up in the near future.
Many thanks,
Kieran

I get the feeling they'll sell all their pre-orders at the 22.99 price, then shortly after that it'll drop to a much better price, leaving all those who paid the extra a little peeved.
I already have it on Dvd and haven't watched it in years, so I'm hovering over the cancel button - 22.99 is just too damned high a price.

You must have received that handle because "the Negative Ninja" was already taken. :p I like critical opinions because it helps me make better decisions.

I ordered 1 and will keep it. Can't see paying Disney's already high price for a slipcover vs. a steelbook costing a little more. I like my embossed Disney slips, but I wouldn't own any if I could buy steel.
