no matter how you look at it, if it is indeed 10k print run (which i dont believe is true) and from wreck stating theres only 1k left, you'll be a fool to not hold on to your pre-orders no matter the price or print run.

Disney classics will always be disney classics and they will in the long run demand a premium

Come on Ninjas, now that Wreck has given us the heads up - let's put this puppy to bed!

Maybe it isn't selling well. Maybe they have even 20K and tell us they have 10K so people keep their orders. They might put the rest for sale after release date, when all steelbooks are shipped.

22.99 is a lot of money for a movie. Go to your local supermarket and see how much you can eat for that kind of money.

This hobby is getting too expensive now.

Damn, the Lord of the Rings Extended Edition box-set is even cheaper than 1 Jungle Book steelbook!
It's currently 22.40 or something on Amazon UK... (the golden box-set that is!).

strange how so many here are so concerned with this selling out, yet in other threads (like Thor/Captain America re-release) the same ppl are talking about not caring about rarity?

...as long as u have a copy who cares about the print run, right?

:movie:

The people wanting everything to be re-released now are the same people who will be dead against it in a years time. Seen it too often on here

I think it's a stage every collector goes through. When the limited edition Steelbook market has been destroyed (and it is on its way), many people will regret it.

I loved reading the posts about collectors being annoyed at having a supposed 10k print run. Then Wreck pops up saying less than 1k left :hilarious:

With all the recent discounts Zavvi has been offering the effective price will be less than the listed price

But thats a 2 year old release, how long has it taken to reach that? Ive been holding off buying it for at least a year and its always been between £40 and £60, its only recently gone below £30 which was the price Ive been waiting for (I still havent bought it)

Yeah this is expensive, but its Disney...and they are always pricey, even Disney DVD's are overpriced, and they always go crazy once they are in the vault, so even a standard amaray will hold its value and very rarely if ever end up in the sales, I suppose with the vault system even the amaray versions are a limited edition so for a few extra quid to get the film in nicer packaging, I think is worth it...

10K compared to circa 50k on The Hobbit, 50k on The Avengers, how many on Thor and Captain America which now sell for £100 each? What were the original numbers on the Play Star Trek steel?
