so they succeed in creating the hype once again. now that the first actual picture is provided, and people can see it's an awesome steelbook, it should be sold out out after being there for months? just a coincidence!?

i'm pretty sure this will be available for reasonable prices everywhere soon again.

Fairly certain that there was some quantity left to purchase of yesterday.

Now, obviously HDN has no control over where these remainders show up, but we have expressed our concern to Zavvi before, including feedback from many members here about how their system currently works.

Please note that information is posted hours and sometimes minutes after we receive it, if it's allowed to be shared, so it's never the case of HDN having pictures and not posting them here.

At least 10-15 people on this forum has cancelled their copies (and some ordered more than 1). And that's just on this forum.

Of course it'll be back up, no worries.

I'm glad they embossed all the characters and not just the title box. After seeing the amaray slip cover last night, it's a stunner. It also has all the characters embossed. I feel a double dip coming on.

Compared to the slip (which appeals to the kid in all of us, with it's stunning shining finish) it is a bit washed out looking. I hope lighting was playing a part in it, but I suspect not. We've all been looking at that superbright render for too long.

i actually like the natural, darker look of the steel much better than the over-boosted neon coloring on the initial artwork pic. this is a movie from 1968 and i think the dark look fits more and also makes it look more solid and robust.
and the embossing is stunning once again like in previous cases.

in my opinion this is exactly what this steelbook should look like and i'm happy to have it on my pre-orders list (no shipping information yet though).

It does look rather dull but keep in mind the lighting in which the photograph was taken.
I'd imagine it will look brighter once more photo's start popping up.

I was going to cancel, but got my dispatch email early, so I was a bit pissed, now I've seen an actual in-hand image, I'm glad I didn't cancel. I prefer the brushed metal look (whatever it's called) as opposed to the extremely glossy look I was expecting. And the embossing is excellent.

Show us the Inside and back art now please.

Good point severo, I didn't consider that. Looking at it in that way, it does seem in keeping with the source material.
