Well my pre-orders with Zavvi currently total 2 and I can't see myself increasing that number anytime soon.

Zavvi's own slogan may end up being quite prophetic, they could end up being "the home" for large quantities of unwanted steelbooks.

yeah, it was already sold out once, so i doubt they have more than 20% stock left.. so its either reduce the price by 2-4gbp for almost instant sellout or just wait few months..

I actually like the artwork. Gives a feel of the open expanse of the ocean.

I however, don't like that it's Matte. All other Disney metal based cases I own are glossy.

Like most others, I am disappointed with the lack of interior and back cover art. For Disney collectors like me, I will own regardless, but disappointing nonetheless. If Disney truly does have input on the artwork for their exclusive steelbooks, someone is missing the boat. The Best Buy and Future Shop releases are miles better than these recent zavvi efforts.

So is the front artwork not the same as the US 3D slipcover?

I think I will reserve judgement until I have it in hand, which judging by previous orders be Monday at least. A gloss treatment would have been better.

I actually prefer the UK slip, which I think will be the same as the US digibook.

With Zavvi forever hiking prices I may well cancel some other non Disney Steels, if they are exclusives of course.

What!!!!!! I am SOOOOOOO disappointed. I was totally expecting an audio recording of Ariel singing part of your world to the build up where she's on the rock and the waves splash around her, and a mist of refreshing water being sprayed into my face everytime the steelbook was opened. That my freinds makes this an epic fail.

Joking aside I totally get what you guys are saying. For the amount that was paid it should have included more. I kind of dig the steelbook itself being simple though.

Most of us haven't even seen this in hand yet. I only buy films I want to watch. Not dissapointed, still excited to see this looks good in my opinion, only thing that could be fixed is the price thank you zavvi

I dont usually like glossy steelbooks but i want the bright disney steels to be and now this one looks flat sitting next to the others. For the money they can take a run and jump.....

honestly, it's a real downer that zavvi chooses to operate in this way. i am not overly negative about zavvi in general. i like that they offer exclusive steelbooks. i just wish they understood the importance of being more forthcoming about their steelbook products. we are often left wondering far too many important things about these steelbooks we are spending serious money on with preorders based on our own conditions of hype / panic / excitement / mental sickness.

I'm not surprised people are losing faith in Zavvi recently. It is pretty underhand of them to not post full artwork before release. They obviously knew it would result in multiple cancelations! I'm not keeping my spare now they can have the thing back. Disgusted.

Oh man, i miss the old Disney FutureShop SB releases. Hunting and collecting them was so damn fun. They were expensive but were manufacture with such care, i recall vividly the glossy finish, the embossing, the outstanding back art and the superb inside art.
Don't take me wrong, i have most of the kimchi/blufans/zavvi Disney SB on order, but nowadays just seems like every new release is brought to life with such little care and laziness that i'm getting frustated with this passion.
And what's up with the prices, paying a fortune for a Steelbook i should expect a high quality product in hands.
What a shame
