With the aladdin steelbook using the dvd art, it's possible that little mermaid will do the same. then the cover would end up being this.

The majority? If I'm right in thinking you are referring to a preference of the back cover above being the front, then you are one of a handful not the majority. I think the above design is fantastic, perfect in fact, I hope every Disney release follows the pattern of Aladdin like the above design does.

Since the recent picture was posted, more members had indicated they would prefer the rear, simple artwork on the front (correct at time of my prior post) though that seems to have flipped to the majority NOW preferring the busier front...sadly

Having recently added The Lion King steelbook (Taiwan) to my collection it saddens me to see Zavvi doing Disney steelbooks with recycled DVD/VHS art. This criticism might be a bit premature, but if the Aladdin steel is anything to go by...

I mean, if this was a straight-to-video sequel I'd be thrilled, but this is one of the most acclaimed animated films of the last 25 years, so I think it's reasonable to expect Zavvi to make the most of this oportunity. But this is speaking as a fan, and I know Wreck has told us before that some companies are very strict about what kind of artwork they allow. Still, can't help nagging until someone finally listens.

After seeing this artwork concept, anything Disney produce for us is surely going to be a disappointment! I love what you've done, and if I worked for Disney then I would hire you on the spot! You've done an excellent job there, and I am now dreading what Disney actually come up with!
