weird..its definitely not the cardboard with all the movie info on it, so why would they put an additional paper/sticker on the back?

or maybe the art is just like that, which is weird

Guessing theres no inside art for these either? Better get looking for some to suit if thats the case :naughty:

Yup no inside art. Again for the first production run by the new G2 line, the quality of artwork is quite impressive. The same cannot be said of the shrink wrapping and packaging work (see the small tears in the shrink wrap and lack of attention to labeling and inserts). Of course I am comparing the quality of work here to that of the Japanese steelbooks where the shrink wrap is skin-tight and the labels and inserts are perfectly aligned. But this is a GREAT start to a new era of steelbooks in the US! :scat::scat:

Not to fussed about the shrink it gets ripped off as soon as I get them anyway :scat:

Isnt it about time you got yourself off to bed Ash your like an excited schoolboy :hilarious: :hilarious:

When were these announced? :S
It just came out of no where for me.

Ah, you are but a good 13 hours late. Best Buy has not put them out on display yet but they were available for sale online and pick up in store only. Sometime tonight, the online BB site turned off purchase of these steelbooks to PRE-ORDER only for in store pick-up. There is a separate thread on all 20 steelbooks in this inaugural Best Buy WB wave!

I Thought this was kind of neat. The Steelbooks fit PERFECTLY in the extended edition box set. :scat:

That's so cool! I was considering buying these Steels until I saw the extended box set on sale at Fry's this weekend for $44.99. so I picked that up instead. Do these individual LOTR steels hold one or two discs each?
