can a mod or staff at hdn explain the reason for the higher price? the only other releases I've paid this much for are blufans ultimate double sided lenticulars for frozen and big hero 6, both WEA. just wondering why these are in that same range. thx

I believe WEA Steels + disc(s) costs less per unit than a new "off the shelf" steel + disc(s) release.

Also, HDZeta retails for more than FA for example...

1 - Shipping between HDZETA and the host of the GB
2 - And shipping between the host and you....
Seriously it's high price....i try my chance on the shop....

There are a couple of things to consider as to why the price is what it is.

1. Unlike most HDZeta GBs, this is not being shipped by HDZeta. The GB host is in Hong Kong and will incur expenses to receive the copies.

2. Shipping in Asia is not cheap as most are already aware. Essentially, there is a multiplying factor due to the fact that these will be shipped twice within Asia

3. All GB hosts incur expenses from materials ( boxes, wrap, tape, ink....) and GB fees and their personal time.

If you take a normal price of $55 direct from HDZeta, add shipping to you( Conservatively $10 ) GB fees ( $2-3) plus additional costs for the materials, the price seems quite right IMO

The GB price awful, but it's probably cheaper than what it will end up being on eBay (my guess is $100AUD + postage on top of that). Also, I'd rather pay eBay price in a GB and have some of that go towards HDN, rather than have most of it go in the pockets of some random dude, and then eBay and Paypal taking their cut as well. It's not ideal, but better than nothing. Also, if Ex Machina is anything to go by...

I am sure @Naughtius Maximus will be able to verify how the buy was set up if necessary. But this member has hosted other group buys, so it is not really random. We've had many other group buys where a member had a relationship with a retailer (Nova, etc), and the retailer approved higher qty purchases, and all are group buys. Xin and Alex may simply not have time to coordinate this buy or ship, and have asked for the help of another member. HDzeta Steels are generally higher in price-and from past experience of hosting group buys for Hdzeta Steels-by the time you pay for shipping once to yourself and once to end customer, you are in late $60's, early $70's for the average member (the cost of group buy seems to include both, the shipping cost to group buy leader, and shipping to end customer-based on the description). Sorry guys, don't have any more info on this, but the group buy leader or David should be able to assist further.

Everyone has choices on how to obtain things like this, though, so good luck if you wish to purchase elsewhere-I hope you enjoy the edition! @wxlinkswd please feel free to share other info to help members as well.
