“First off, the name is Mighty Thor. And secondly, if you can’t say Mighty Thor, I’ll accept Dr. Jane Foster. Thirdly, eat my hammer!”

As first revealed by our friends at Collider, tomorrow we are excited to have a couple of new posters celebrating the MCU’s latest addition to its pantheon of Asgardian gods: Jane Foster ... aka THE MIGHTY THOR.

First up is a new poster as she appears in Taika Waititi’s hair-metal album come to life: THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER, with beautiful new artwork by the more-than-worthy Phantom City Creative. Excelsior.

In 1977, long before it was a Disney+ animated series, Marvel launched the WHAT IF? comic series. The idea of the series was to put an alternate reality spin on significant moments or characters in Marvel history. There were fun twists in a parallel universe where Rick Jones became the Hulk, or Spider-Man stopped the burglar who ended Uncle Ben. In 1978, WHAT IF #10 posited the question of What if Jane Foster Had Found the Hammer of Thor? Turns out it was prescient idea that, fortunately, we got to see in the mainline Marvel Universe thanks to the mighty Jason Aaron and Russell Dauterman in their god-tier Thor run from 2014.

We’re excited to release a new screenprint of this original What If? tale, with artwork from the legendary John Buscema.

These posters will be available Thursday, July 14 at 11AM CT on The Drop at mondoshop.com.
