The "OZ/Wonderland Chronicles" Comics

Anyone check these out? They're put out by "Buy Me Toys", which admittedly I thought was a madeup name for the Mallrats movie. lol

The comics are a combo of the Wizard of Oz and Alice in Wonderland stories with Alice and Dorothy being college age girls and it has a crossover of characters from the two worlds.

Pretty cool. They're published "irregularly" which means that there's usually one per year or so. It started out as a four issue series, but there's a few off-shoot ones that tie into the main series.

Here's some of the artwork, as well as a link to the site.

An irregular four issue mini-series that follows the adventures of Alice and Dorothy as college students who have forgotten their childhood journeys, but the magical lands they visited haven't quite forgotten them.

I've never heard of them.. but they sound interesting. I like both of the stories...

Have you read them? Do they go well together?

I read most of the regular arc (except the final one which I believe just was released last month with the one before that released in June of '09 lol), and I've seen some of the off-shoot, but not the Prelude to Evil one.

It's kinda cool. There's some type of "portal" or whatever that is going to allow the evil creatures from Wonderland and Oz to break free into the real world and wreak havoc, and that's what they're trying to stop.

I love the Character of Jack Pumpkinhead, he was my favorite from Return to Oz.

Same with Tik Tok.

Plus you can order them via their site and get them autographed for free. So all you pay is the cost of the comic (3.50 I believe) and whatever the shipping is, and the artist will sign it.

I love Casey Heying's art (he did the Prelude to Evil cover I posted). I had ordered these a long time ago but lost them in a move. I specifically picked out Casey's artwork, when I looked through, because they have alternate covers as well.
