This yes contains both films but
I will pass on this for 3 reasons

1) The Artwork is very similar to The Purge: Anarchy - Zavvi Exclusive Limited Edition £19.99 (€25.59)
2) I got a great deal with The Purge - Zavvi Exclusive Limited Edition Steelbook £4.99 (€6.29 Euro)
3) Its been confirmed there is a third film happening

Its personal choice of course but I like to have individual steelbooks of films I'm not a big fan of steelbooks having 2 or more films in same steelbook unless there is no individual steelbooks available or are out of print and to expensive to get hold of

They're both really silly films. The sequel has slightly less ham but still plenty of cheese.

Am in two minds about this. Yes, it's cheaper (as was suggested earlier) than the Zavvi "The Purge: Anarchy", but I much prefer the Stars and Stripes design for that. Although this release retains the design elements it doesn't stand out for me as much as the flag design. Given that I'd already stated elsewhere that I wasn't fussed by the first film (and can't be bothered to drive to my nearest HMV), I think this will be a pass for me.

Yeah defo getting this at £17.99, i reckon they'll be in stock at zavvi for a while so I might just wait for a price drop and get them if a third movie steelbook is announced!

I prefer the Zavvi artwork for The Purge Anarchy

HMV The Purge Collection does not look as good in my opinion compared the Zavvi The Purge Anarchy

i deliberated over this with my wife, as to whether this was preferable to the zavvi edition
zavvi came out on tops because,
the american flag style artwork wins by a mile,
the 2 separate steelbooks for both films will sit better with any future potential steelbook releases in the franchise.
of course the option to pick this one up as well can't be ruled out........

Looks nice, but f there is a 3rd film in the pipeline I'd have to pass. The zavvi steels are very hit and miss, the one for the first film is awful yet the one for the sequel is very nice. I'm gonna stick with my lenticular slipcased edition of the purge and hope the purge anarchy gets a nice slipcover to sit alongside it...
